Job Overview
The Controller will be Heron Power's first dedicated senioraccounting leader. This role will be hands-on in the near term - bringing our close process in-house, leading an ERP implementation, and preparing for our first financial audit - while also laying the foundation for a best-in-class accounting organization. How You Will Contribute
Scope, select, and project manage implementation of Heron Power's ERP system in advance of mass production, and ensure tight integration with Supply Chain and Engineering tools
Establish in-house month-end close process including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and account balances.
Create inventory and cost accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting of COGS and production
Provide ASC 606 technical accounting guidance on commercial contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition
Lead preparation to become fully GAAP-compliant and audit-ready, including formalizing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Scale our end-to-end procurement and accounts payable process as Heron Power evolves from R&D to mass production, including hundreds of vendors globally
