In support of the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) contract, you will be part of our teams efforts to empower the Department of Defenses navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission to ensure positioning, navigation, and navigation timing superiority. More about this specific role As a Data Science Analyst in the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) you will help empower the Department of Defenses navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission ensuring positioning, navigation and timing superiority. You will serve a s a member of a team providing combatant commanders and joint force commanders with subject matter expertise on planning and conducting NAVWAR by providing knowledge of friendly and enemy NAVWAR order of battle and PNT-related successes and threats. You will support the Government with the integration, at the theater strategic level, of C4, cyber, and cyberspace operations into JNWC's strategic and operational objectives. Responsibilities You will utilize classified and unclassified analytical tools and expert analysis to support regional and global threat assessments to facilitate understanding of the threat picture. Oversee and support delivering multilayered, multi-intelligence research products focused on existing, evolving, and emerging improvised threats. Provide detailed threat analysis and assessments against various national and global threats to identify risks, gaps, and vulnerabilities and recommend countermeasures. Utilize tools and tradecraft to provide timely, relevant, and understandable analysis and intelligence material to inform decisionmakers and influence outcomes. Assist supported unit intelligence personnel in carrying out assigned tasks. Work closely with other Analysts, Planners, and Integrators in developing a range of operations and intelligence products and material and training solutions. Provide consistent realtime updates of current analyses and assessments to existing Intel databases. Ensures coordination with higher headquarters, Intelligence Community, Allies, and Partner Nations. The SME will ensure the complete setup of hierarchical asset structures, preventive maintenance schedules, spare part inventories, and work order processes, while also training end users on the effective use of the system. Key Responsibilities: Ramp up and standardize the input of asset data into Asset Suite, focusing on both critical equipment and ancillary systems. Meta is seeking a data center Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our systems operate to meet the demands of our customers. The Mechanical SME will be a part of the facility operations team and will be responsible for being the mechanical system technical operations expert. The candidate will need to have a broad understanding of mechanical system and equipment function and will be responsible for procedure-based mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, training, and project oversight. The Mechanical Subject Matter Expert will need to be experienced in diverse technologies such as chiller systems, evaporative cooling, DX cooling, water distribution and treatment, emergency diesel generators, fire suppression systems, and have a working knowledge of building automation systems and electrical distribution. Minimum Qualifications * 8+ years relevant mechanical industry experience or mechanical trade level experience * Bachelor's degree or trade certification in related field plus 4+ years relevant mechanical industry experience will be considered in lieu of 8+ years relevant mechanical industry experience * Working knowledge of critical facility operations with experience or understanding of procedure-based work * Working knowledge of psychrometric charts and refrigeration cycles * Theoretical & practical understanding of mechanical equipment & systems, with expertise in mechanical equipment design, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and/or construction * Working knowledge of electrical, controls and fire / life safety systems * Experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings * Experience in comprehending plans, specifications, and equipment shop drawings * Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment * Proficient with computer systems including documents, spreadsheets, email, and maintenance systems Preferred Qualifications * Experience in the data center industry * Familiarity with American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standards * Trade Certification or state license in Mechanical (HVAC) Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning * Equipment field service engineering or representative experience Responsibilities * Serve as an onsite technical resource of mechanical infrastructure systems and equipment, with an emphasis on practical field operation * Support cross-functional collaboration including all local and global partners * Contribute to mechanical safety program for site * Plan, resource, author or approve work procedures to cover mechanical troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance activities, with an emphasis on assessing & mitigating personnel and critical systems and operational risk * Conduct or oversee hands-on troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and maintenance of mechanical equipment * Oversee mechanical system configurations and component upgrades to ensure system integrity is maintained and that all modifications to existing systems comply with best practices, including change control processes * Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) oversight of construction projects & maintenance activity * Participate in root-cause analysis activities in area of expertise * Provide training to Critical Facility Engineers and other cross functional teams on mechanical equipment, systems, procedures, and changes to include mechanical/fire & life safety/water equipment/systems and procedures * Manage vendor relationships for mechanical maintenance and retrofit work * Provide feedback on global mechanical maintenance strategies and global mechanical system design improvements * Travel expectations: Can be significant during the first 1-3 months for initial training/onboarding, and then ongoing occasional travel for factory witness tests, collaboration, etc About Meta Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
