Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Software Configuration Analyst. This position will be located in Dulles, VA or El Segundo, California and does not offer the ability to telecommute.

This position will support Tactical Space Systems Division in their development and deployment of satellite ground software to customer resources.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.
Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development.
Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.
May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.

What You'll Get to Do:
Develop and maintain the Software Configuration Management strategy and tactics including SCM plans, procedures and estimates in an Agile and DevOps environment
Develop and document the software development and control processes Provide SCM guidance and assistance to the project teams
Administer and improve the automated configuration management tools: BitBucket, Jira, Nexus, Jenkins, Confluence
Administer and improve the automated problem tracking tools: Jira
Reproduce and verify software build processes
Generate software release documentation: SMDs, VDDs, SVDs, Release Notes, etc.
Conduct physical and functional SCM audits as needed, and support external or internal SCM audits
Report monthly metrics as needed
Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Education/Experience: 9 Years with Bachelors degree; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Must be a US Citizen with an active or current Top Secret (SSBI - Single Scope Background Investigation) Clearance within the last 5 years with the ability to obtain SCI Access.
Experience implementing software CM in an Agile and/or DevOps environment
Experience administering or using many of the tools lists to implement software CM: BitBucket, Jira, Nexus, Jenkins, and/or Confluence
Able to represent the organization as a prime technical contact on contracts and projects, and interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extended experience administering the tools listed above including experience with Jira SIL scripting a plus
Experience implementing automated CM processes using multiple of the tools listed above with a DevOps pipeline
Experience in design, development, implementation, or operation of Spacecraft Ground Software Systems
SW development or integration background including experience with Java or Python - Security+ CE or similar certification
Active TS/SCI Clearance

+ Develop and maintain SQL scripts to enhance Perceptive Content integration and performance.

+ Develop scripts to import and export metadata and images to/from Perceptive Content.

+ Develop and support customizations in Agiloft using Agiloft proprietary build tools.

+ Leads assessments, searches, implementations, and upgrades for third-party applications.

+ Communicates application issues with vendor per vendor's reporting process. Ability to use own cell phone for texting and phone call communication. Able to respond to issues while on call within 30 minutes of being contacted.

+ Leads collaboration and communications with internal and external stakeholders within multiple venues.

+ Identifies data integrity issues and analyzes data and process flows for process improvement opportunities. + Acts as super user to application, trains and mentors new employees with no help.
