We are a Series A company filled with veteran game developers and entrepreneurs creating games using blockchain technology. Our vision is simple: we want to work together to create generation-defining games that fundamentally grant power and ownership to the players who play them.
Our team has decades of experience building games at the scale of 100M+ players. Our team hails from Epic Games, Zynga, EA, Riot, Scopely, THQ, Rockstar, and Activision, where we led $1b+ franchises like FarmVille and League of Legends. We've also been active as founders and investors in crypto since 2013 and are backed by world-class investors, like a16z.
We are a fully remote company, built on a foundation of clear communication, respect, and collaboration. Your expertise can make a lasting impact here at Proof of Play and we'd love to connect with you and learn more.
But, don't take our word for it - hear directly from our founding team: *********************************************************************
We're seeking a Senior UI Artist to elevate the polish and presentation of our games. You'll combine UI design, motion, and effects to create interfaces that feel alive, fluid, and visually cohesive.
Working in a small, empowered team, you'll collaborate closely with engineers and designers using Unity's UI Toolkit. Every detail matters, from drop shadow weight to button animation rhythm and you'll take pride in pushing the polish further.
This role suits someone hands-on, detail-obsessed, and thriving in fast-paced, feedback-driven environments. You'll join a senior, cross-functional team that values collaboration over hierarchy, giving you real ownership and the freedom to make an impact from day one.
This role is a 6-months contract with potential to extend and go perm.
What You'll Do:
Own the end-to-end UI and effects process, from concept to in-engine polish
Create and refine game UI using Unity UI Toolkit (UXML + USS)
Use Spine to add motion, life, and cohesion to UI and in-game effects
Elevate presentation quality through mastery of typography, colour, shape language, motion, and layering
Analyse and deconstruct leading game UIs to identify and apply what makes them exceptional
Iterate quickly on feedback and collaborate openly with engineers and designers
Help improve pipelines and workflows for UI + FX integration
What You'll Bring:
5+ years experience as a UI or FX artist in mobile or game development
Proven Unity experience, including Unity UI Toolkit
Spine experience (animation, motion, or effects)
A portfolio demonstrating exceptional attention to detail, presentation quality, and stylistic versatility
Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, motion, and colour theory
Ability to work directly in-engine, not a hand-off artist
Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving, highly collaborative team
Excellent communication and feedback skills
Bonus Points:
Experience prototyping UI animations or transitions
Shipped titles using Unity + Spine
Background in motion design or VFX
Knowledge of performance-friendly UI/FX implementation
Benefits and Perks:
Fully Remote across two continents.
Top tier medical, dental, and vision plans 100% company covered
Laptops + necessary equipment provided
Paid Parental Leave
MyTime flexible vacation policies
