Job Description:
FIS is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with experience in Cloud technology as well as a solid understanding of networking and system interdependencies. The candidate will work with our global Cloud teams and innovate to architect and drive cloud deployment standards and templates across the development lifecycle: from sandbox to concept, development, and production environments. Candidate will build tooling to automate and simplify processes around all aspects of hosting in the Cloud. The candidate will feel comfortable collaborating and innovating with their colleagues and bring a fun attitude. This position requires five or more years of IT infrastructure, coding, and architecture experience. Responsibilities: Design and code high-quality solutions for automating Public Cloud account/subscription configuration, networking, Active Directory components, and infrastructure Write automation to generate Terraform code and ancillary technologies (such as Sentinel) to drive standards.
Create code to interface with other systems to create required infrastructure and register infrastructure components Troubleshoot and resolve issues in creating and deploying infrastructure automation Evaluate various FIS lines of business requirements, compare that with available cloud technologies, and through collaboration, produce a technical solution that is cloud ready. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering capacity and limitations, operation time and form of desired results. Documents technical strategies, objectives, and drivers.
Re-engineering processes to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency. Assesses, applies, and projects the impact of system changes on users and internal and external clients or stakeholders. Continuously learn and experiment. Other related duties assigned as needed.
Education Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Desired Qualifications: 5+ years working in infrastructure at a large IT organization (5000+ people)
5+ years scripting / programming experience 6+ months of Hashicorp Terraform development experience Proficiency with Jenkins and BitBucket 3+ years developing automation for infrastructure 1+ years developing automation for Azure Cloud and AWS Cloud
Google Cloud experience is a bonus. 2+ years of Network Support and troubleshooting IP networks, subnets, routing 2+ years of coding solutions and scripting processes for automation. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP technologies, etc. 2+ years of experience deploying and troubleshooting key cloud network technologies: e.g., load balancers, application load balancers, firewalls.
1+ years deploying Containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) A passion for learning. Advanced skills around working with people: ability to listen and exhibit empathy to drive customer satisfaction. Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients Excellent collaborative skills and attitude

Job Description
As a senior automation engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, deploying, and documenting automation solution(s) for mission critical systems. The automation solution(s) will be utilized by various teams to validate and/or apply operating systems updates.

Responsibilities

Automate the delivery of patches and updates for Windows and Linux based operating systems, VMware solutions, and other technologies Troubleshoot system and network issues that result from updates Provide reporting on the status of running systems, applications, and updates Work with internal and external teams to understand processes and look for ways to improve them The automation solution(s) will need to incorporate Powershell and Bash commands. Extensive command line experience with Windows and Linux operating systems Experience with scripting in PowerShell and/or BashHigh level knowledge of networking concepts (ex. network devices, IP addresses, ports, and protocols) High level knowledge of virtualization concepts (ex. VMWare ESXI) Experience with remote desktop technologies (ex. RDP) Hands on experience with at least one automation/deployment/configuration solution like (ex. Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, etc) Knowledge of automation solutions and cloud operations (ex. Azure, AWS) experience
