This position is responsible for contributing to the effort of managing client guarantee performance, reviewing contract language and collaborating with multiple internal partners such as Underwriting, Networks, Sales/Account Management, Finance, Accounting, Audit and Legal.The Pricing Operations Senior Analyst will review guarantee performance by client on a monthly basis, prepare financial performance reporting, provide reporting and information for audit requests, and partner with Underwriting, Networks, Sales/Account Management, Audit and Legal, to review contract terms and provide recommendations for pricing strategy.Primary responsibilities include: - Perform monthly data pulls for assigned guarantee clients. Review performance results, drug mix and utilization to identify opportunities to mitigate financial risk to the organization. - Collaborate with underwriting, finance and accounting partners to understand and improve gaps and overlaps in processes and gain further understanding of the multiple components and factors that impact a client's financial performance.- Perform lookback analysis to review underwriting assumptions to contract language and actual results, in an effort to provide future recommendations to senior leadership.The successful candidate will have analytical, programming, and interpersonal skills, be able to manage both long- and short- term projects and assignments effectively, and work collaboratively in inter-departmental settings to accomplish tasks and goals. You will have the opportunity to develop reporting packages and presentations to management, create best-practices, and draw conclusions from the information to provide input to critical business decisions. Key interactions are with Underwriting, Networks, Sales/Account Management, Finance, Accounting, Audit and Legal.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 43,700

Maximum: 97,400

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications :- 5 years pricing, financial or data analysis experience required- Experience with creating financial models and working with large data sets and in a database environment.

Essential Functions: * Develops ad-hoc reports to conduct data analysis and validation.

* Confers with area/department to analyze current operational procedures and trends and identify problems.

* Conducts business analysis and recommends technical alternative solutions to management as to course of action that best meets the organization's goals.

* Research, evaluate and assess the financial impact of issues identified in data/processes.

* Acts as subject matter expert to provide business and technical expertise in requirements solicitation, system analysis, technical design, programming and documentation of business applications/systems.

* Provides oversight and resolves complex issues, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow-up on identified issues.

* Provides guidance and training to staff on process, procedures and issue resolution.

Provides in-depth business knowledge and advanced technical support to one or more business areas through developed and ad hoc analysis/reporting , as well as designing and programming complex, new processes/reports. Acts as subject matter expert for department or business unit on business systems/applications. Analyzes company functions, processes, and activities to improve computer-based business applications for the most effective use of money, materials, equipment, and people. Performs application/system design and implementation. Documents development requirements. Consults with end users to test and debug applications to meet client needs.

Candidate Education: Required A Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Required or equivalent work experience in technical data analysis, conducting system analysis meetings, developing system design documents, developing project plans with achievable milestones and deadlines, and mediating different department demands to gain approvals on system scope and design.

Candidate Experience: Preferred 1+ year of experience in Healthcare

Required 4+ years of experience in relevant programming to include SAS, SQL, VB.NET, or Oracle (or similar depending upon departmental requirements)

Required 3+ years of experience in related business analysis

Preferred 1+ year of experience in ASP/ASP.NET

NSIPS-NP2 is the Navy's single, field-entry, electronic pay and personnel system for all USN/USNR Sailors. The program overall will maintain Navy O&M and Research/Development/Test and Evaluation (RDTE) for Navy Personnel and Pay systems.

The desired candidate:

+ Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing requirements, such as the Navy's Human resources system.

+ Coordinates with customer, business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.

+ Serves as the Senior Functional Analyst defining business intelligence requirements for Analytical application and reporting.

+ Must possess experience in documenting functional, business intelligence analytics, and reporting requirements.

+ Responsible for decomposing high level functional requirements and writing system and technical requirements for development and testing.

+ As a member of a Task Order Team, must be able to work well with co-workers, developers, testers, and customers.

+ Translates customer needs into system, hardware, software, performance, network, and interface requirements.

+ Performs requirements analysis for hardware and software through customer interviews, comparison to existing requirements, creation of process flows, use cases, and other artifacts.

+ Interfaces with system developers and testers to clarify requirements and validate that they are designing, developing, and testing to the customer's requirements.

+ Experience with US Navy's personnel and pay systems for both active and reserve officers and enlisted personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

+ BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

+ 4+ years of strong PeopleSoft HCM, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Business Objects, People Soft.

+ Experience in documenting functional, business intelligence analytics, and reporting requirements.

+ Experienced as a Business Case Analyst responsible for decomposing requirements and writing requirements for coding and testing.

+ Working Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft HCM and business intelligence reporting software.

+ Must hold a Secret Clearance or be eligible for an Interim DoD Secret Clearance
