" 7 - 10 years experience in a business analysis in Risk & Cap Mkts domain .

" Knowledge of capital markets & financial instruments Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX.


" Understanding of Investment Banking , Asset Management Front, Middle & Back Office functions and Risk assessment.

" Asset management experience strongly preferred, but other experience within financial services acceptable

" Experience of Risk Management concepts like VaR, Expected Shortfall, Tracking Error etc.

" Working knowledge of creating Tableau dashboards is preferable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for raising debt and equity for commercial real estate transactions including permanent loans, bridge loans, and construction loans through various capital sources including commercial banks, CMBS lenders, insurance companies, private equity, and credit unions. The Originator has responsibility for serving both internal and external clients. Internal clients include working very closely with MMI investment sales agents to secure staple financing opportunities. This role is open to originators specialized in a specific real estate product and to generalists willing to originate on all product types.

The successful candidate will be based in Houston and principally charged with establishing the Company as a market leading provider of capital markets financing solutions. The candidate can not only transact in the Texas markets but on transactions throughout the country. The Originator will be aligned with a Texas-based team (+30 colleagues) that is consistently ranked as one of the top capital markets teams in the country. This position will directly report to the Senior Managing Directors responsible for capital markets business in Texas located in Houston, Texas.

Attributes/Experience:Bachelor's degree required. As Landa's Head of Capital Markets, you'll drive the creation and execution of our capital strategy. You'll advise the executive team and Board on structuring, strategy, and execution of capital raising. You will develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective investors and lenders. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of real estate capital markets experience and a data background. This position is located at our office in NYC.
The Role

Responsible for developing and executing the financing strategy of our debt capital roadmap;

Take ownership of the full financing transaction lifecycle: lead the sourcing, structuring and execution of institutional debt capital raising transactions with lenders, investors, and senior management

Lead negotiations and deal structuring of debt terms, guarantees, etc.

Coordinate due diligence and inquiries.

Manage financing draws, debt paydowns, proceeds, etc.

Responsible for debt compliance and covenants reporting.

Proactively manage the debt maturity ladder.

Establish an effective capital stack for the company to manage and balance our cost of capital for financial flexibility.

Find creative solutions to non-standard funding requirements for efficient flow of funds.

Key go-to person for debt financing questions and strategies

Work closely with finance & accounting (F&A) teams to deliver quarterly and annual deliverables to lending institutions.

Work with FP&A to build and manage debt models and assist with budgeting, forecasting and ad-hoc analyses.

Collaborate with business team and developers, to continually automate and improve process efficiencies within capital markets.

Keep abreast of developments in capital markets, legislation, and statutory requirements. Ensure that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet corporate objectives and regulatory requirements, inclusive of related risk and exposure.

Work with the leadership team on ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
