In addition to having fun and putting a smile on our members' faces, your responsibilities as a Driver / Shuttle Driver include:
Ensuring members are transported safely whenever they are in your care!
Assisting members with on- and off-boarding and with any special needs during transport.
Ensuring the company vehicle is “member-ready” at all times: sparkling clean and free from obstacles as well as in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly. You want to make sure the vehicle carrying precious cargo is in perfect running order.
Qualifications
As a Driver / Shuttle Driver for our Adult Day Centers your qualifications include:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 21 years of age.
Minimum three (3) years with a valid driver's license as well as state/vehicle-specific driver credentials
This is a physical job, after all we are ACTIVE Day! As a result you will need to be able to:
Lift (up to 50 lbs) and maneuver assistive devices or wheelchairs.
Sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with special needs is helpful
Due to the this being a driving role and therefore regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (“FMCSA”), you must be able to:

Summary:
This position is responsible for safely driving the 18-wheel mobile health and/or the 44 ft. RV mobile unit as assigned and registration on board the units.
Primary responsibilities include communication with management and clinical team during their routes, precepting new driver in conjunction with other WOW drivers with clear documentation throughout the orientation period to leadership, providing mentoring to new driver, as necessary, and collaborating and interacting with others in a positive and effective manner. The Lead Driver will also be responsible for ensuring proper repairs and maintenance for all vehicles as assigned. The position requires onsite electronic medical record registration, and completion of mandatory training. Responsible for patient registration, including data entry of patient information and insurance verification, correction, or resolution. Other duties include work directly with vendors to receive quotes on repairs and maintenance. The Lead Driver will also be responsible for maintain appropriate license and registration for their assigned mobile units.

Drives/parks semi-truck safely to Clinic sites, following accident policy immediately in case of an accident.

GLFHC is currently seeking a Mobile Health Unit Driver / Patient Service Rep. The function of the Mobile Health Unit (MHU) Driver / Patient Service Rep is to safely operate and drive GLFHC MHU to and from assigned destinations within the Merrimack Valley as determined by the Mobile Health Unit Manager. This position also provides an array of onsite and community (mobile) based harm reduction and screening services including but not limited to street and venue based outreach, prevention counseling, overdose education and prevention, Narcan enrollment and distribution and Syringe Services to priority population members defined by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Office of HIV/AIDS (MDPH, OHA), as those at high risk for acquiring or transmitting HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STI's) and/or viral Hepatitis (MSM), active substance users, injection drug users (IDUs), people living with HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C, sex workers and other high risk populations.
Operate company vehicles in a safe and professional manner complying with federal, state and local laws.
Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate pickup truck with 32ft trailer attached.
Safely follow all local and state driving laws and road regulations, including but not limited to, driving within posted speed limits.
Perform maintenance of MHU, including replenishment of supplies, refilling gas, checking tire air pressure, and cleaning the unit on a regular basis.
Complete activity, travel, and mileage logs and reports on a daily basis.
Schedules unit for preventative and maintenance in accordance with agency prescribed schedules.
Arranges transportation to detox facilities.
Conducts onsite and community based education sessions on overdose prevention.

Comprehensive knowledge, familiarity and comfort with marginalized populations such as (active substance users, injection drug users (IDUs), people living with HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C, sex workers and other high risk populations) and the Latino MSM community and understand the most effective ways to conduct outreach and bring them into services.
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Vehicle must be insured.

**Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $100 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use.**

**Job Responsibilities:**

Engage in discussion of overdose risk and prevention and provide Narcan education and distribution upon completion of treatment.
Maintain Contact notes, track required information and outcomes, complete appropriate releases for follow up with coalition partners and referral sources and reporting back to Healing Communities Initiative Coalition.
Transport / Accompany individuals for initial attendance at MOUD providers or other self-help meetings, visits to other providers or visits to the Recovery Support Center as appropriate, care and assist in securing long term transportation.
Understands and uses agency/department policies and procedures, including Gandara Center's Recovery Coach Code of Ethics. Seeks clarification as needed from Supervisor.
Attends Coalition Meetings, Individual and Group Supervision sessions, and Trainings/meetings as indicated
Minimum Qualifications:
The Recovery Coach Driver must have sufficient time in recovery from a substance use disorder in order to safely and effectively provide recovery support to others. They must be willing and able to share their path to recovery and their lived experience with participants and support all paths to recovery.

Have a comprehensive understanding of addictive behaviors, S.U.D's and recovery.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Completion of Recovery Coach Academy and working toward certification
Must have valid Driver's License and good driving record.

Job Summary:
The goal of this position is to provide peer support while transporting individuals. Helping individuals address the multiple challenges, people face when trying to engage in substance use treatment or recovery care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide transportation to and from various treatment locations in MA. Provide or arrange transportation in accordance with Gandara Transportation Protocol for individuals referred by Boston Medical Center's Healing Communities Initiative and its Springfield Community Coalition.
Work closely with partners to field requests for transportation, coordinate rides, and arrange for pick-ups/drop offs in a timely manner.
Build relationship between individuals, Valor community partner agencies, as well as MOUD and detox providers giving information, sharing options, and making appropriate referrals.
