JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Compliance Specialist performs more compliance testing for defined contribution plans. Verifies the accuracy of plan census data and identifies contributions to be tested for plan year.

Prepares non-discrimination tests, top heavy tests, coverage tests, 415 annual addition tests with assistance of a Sr. Compliance Analyst. Completes more complex testing, contribution calculations, and plan projections.Reviews legal plan documents, employee census data, and determines participant eligibility.Reconciles all financial activity, prepares government forms and associated schedules for assigned plans in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy.Processes plan participant distributions, loans, disbursement requests, and assists with special projects as needed.Researches and responds to client inquiries, collaborates with other departments to ensure client concerns are resolved, and participates in client calls as needed.Performs other duties, as assigned, that are related to the essential operation of the department.

What you will be doing
Serves as a primary point of contact within the Business Group for export/import transactions. Business Group lead for all export-related issues to promote compliance with U.S. Government Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. Treasury - Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) relating to the export of Company products, services, transfers of technical data, employment of foreign nationals and all other import/export licensing and compliance matters Leads the Business Group in the structuring export licensing strategy though the use of licenses and agreements for complex business models Supports Contract Operations team by reviewing customer contracts and providing recommended changes or alternate language to Trade Compliance provisions to ensure Woodward's compliance. Conducts and assigns internal export compliance audits and reviews within the Business Group per established audit plan

Job Description


We are searching for a talented
Senior Compliance Specialist


Oversees the (AHP) Affordable Housing Program / Tax Credit Units on site by certifying new households and maintaining the recertification process of in-place households. Ensuring that the community is always in compliance with the Affordable Housing Program and all the rules and regulations required to continue Tax Credits for the company are being met.

Job Functions:


Certifies new applicants for the Tax Credit Program in order to determine eligibility. Interviews households to ensure that the Questionnaire(s) are completed fully and to obtain all verifications, certifications, and affidavits. Verify all income and assets, review documents for completeness and accuracy and clarify information, if necessary. Prepare calculation of income worksheets and calculation of income from assets. Submit the file to Compliance for review. Ensure corrections are made timely and that the certification is approved and completed on time. Tour prospective households through the community and the available units. Move in households if deemed eligible. Enter the information into the management software system. Processes annual recertifications for the in-place AHP tax credit households. Interviews households to ensure that the Questionnaire(s) are completed fully and to obtain all verifications, certifications, and affidavits. Compares current information to the previous year. Verifies all income and assets, reviews documents for completeness and accuracy and clarifies information, if necessary. Prepares calculation of income worksheets and calculation of income from assets. Enters the information into the management system. Submits the file to Compliance for review. Ensures corrections are made timely and that the certification is approved and completed on time. Gives direction to and mentors leasing consultants assisting with files during the Certification and Recertification process for the Moderate-Income Program (BMR). Reviews all files prior to the leasing consultant submitting the completed files to the Compliance Department for review. Gives guidance during the Certification process until the household has been deemed eligible or ineligible. Ensures that all affordable housing program requirements and applicable HUD/Agency regulations are monitored regularly and are in full compliance with appropriate regulatory agreements and agencies, including waiting list, certifications, re-certifications and other reporting requirements. This includes managing and mitigating vacant units. Property Audits: Meets with all agencies during audits of the community. Prepares paperwork and reports requested by the agencies and follows up with corrections and submissions/findings from the audit. Maintains overall compliance of AHP files. Ensures that files contain authentic and proper signatures, dates and data. Obtains timely compliance department renewal of all resident certification and re-certification. Oversees and ensures timely input, proper use and full utilization of on-site PC-based property management software systems including training of new associates and ongoing training of property associates. Prepares service requests when residents call and distributes to appropriate associate for completion. Ensures that all service requests are handled on an immediate basis, if possible, and that all residents are notified if there must be a delay


Qualifications:

This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. 3-4 Years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position. 3-4 years of experience working with AHP / BMR programs is required. Preferred certifications in Affordable Housing. Required skills for this position include: computer - Excel/Word/Outlook, analytical and mathematical skills, respect for policy, personality accountability, consistently demonstrates success in processing files, and maintains current knowledge of all applicable state and local laws, particularly regarding resident-landlord relations and fair housing laws. OneSite experience is preferred. This position requires up to 10% travel.
