The Subject Matter Expert for the Turbocharger and Supercharger Systems is responsible for the design, development, and technical leadership in the creation, validation, and release of turbochargers and superchargers, system coolant and oil feed and return lines, heatshields, etc. This includes all components associated with getting air into and out of the boosting hardware, cooling, lubrication, sealing, structural support, etc. for the turbocharger system. Key Responsibilities: Design & Development: Lead the design of the Turbocharger or Supercharger System hardware, ducting and engine interfaces. The Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for the development and validation of electric vehicle power electronics and electrified vehicle systems/devices for passenger cars and trucks. The candidate will develop power electronic devices DVP & R, define and carry out all required development/validation testing to ensure achievement of all functional objectives, and assure compliance to program goals and participate in supplier assessments and post-test inspection reviews, including detailed failure analysis and will work closely with the chosen suppliers and manufacturing entities to ensure designs are robust to customer requirements, meet exact function, and are manufactured without defect, will test finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary. The candidate will also define and carry out all required bench development/validation testing to ensure achievement of all functional objectives and assure compliance to program goals per Global requirements and will develop common best practices globally for all the Power Electronics Charging System component commodities.
