The Data and AI Platform (DAP) division is part of the Visa's technology organization. DAP is responsible for creating Visa's data assets and provides value added products and services to drive innovation for our partners and clients, within Visa and globally. Data and AI Platform (DAP) is dedicated to providing systems and services to make data secure, high quality, rich, fast, and easy to use, therefore enabling Visa with the ability to leverage its data asset in an effective and timely manner to maximize technology/business development and differentiate Visa from others in the payment industry.

As a Staff Engineer II, you will design, enhance, and build solution dealing with batch and real-time data in a fast-paced environment. You will work with colleagues, who will support and challenge you daily. We believe in self managing Agile teams who build products end to end focusing on unit testing, code reviews and continuous integration for excellent code quality.
Responsibilities:

Define and deliver high quality code for features and bug fixes with minimal assistance

Build and maintain relationships with the agile team, the user community, architects, and support teams to understand requirements and implement effective solutions

As a core member of the PSS Data Engineering and Reporting - Analytics and Behavior change group, you will be:· responsible for the design, development and delivery of an analytic products including business intelligence reports, dashboards, data-marts, scalable data models and data strategy processes to ensure success of key strategic initiatives using reporting tools such as Tableau, Microstrategy etc.. · collaborating with business partners from product development and management, operation, finance, and marketing to demonstrate value of CVS Specialty products and services. · enabling data-driven strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for existing product improvement and new product development. · supporting analytical products and update them based on various related enterprise initiatives such as new acquisitions, methodology changes, migrations, consolidations etc. and ensuring that all the data flowing in & out of the database systems meets precise standards, such as a business rules, data definition and data integrity constraints thereby adhering to data governance practices.· using Python, SAS and SQL to access data and build semantic layer in sandbox for reporting.· parterning with data science team on their analysis by providing inputs as a member of data strategy and data engineering.In this exciting role, you will design and conduct rigorous analysis of pharmacy claims, medical claims and other data translating your analytic findings for appropriate audiences.
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

Minimum: 75,000

Maximum: 167,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

·5 years of relevant analytic experience, OR 3 years + a Master's degree, including:Leading descriptive analysis and initiatives with track record of business impact Using SQL or SAS or Python to access, extract, manipulate and summarize data. Developing analytic and reporting methodology, metrics and KPI data layers for broader business and analytic consumption.Building tableau dashboards or using any other data visualization tools to reflect business analytic needs.Data integration, ETL pipelines, data architecture and design patterns and automation.Working directly with business partners to understand the business needs and translating those needs into analytic solutions.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related quantitative fields is required. Master's degree a plus.

What you will do at Ciena?

This position is a highly technical role, providing post-sales support for customer-specific network architecture design. The Consultant Engineer will be required to develop and maintain an expertise on the products deployed within the customers' network and related platform certification processes. This is a full-time position requiring strong knowledge and experience with Network Architecture and Transport Protocols. Desire Top/Secret security clearance. Minimum Secret.

Responsibilities
Hold design and information gathering workshops with the customer to understand the customer's existing network design and technical requirements.Understand the customer's organizational structure and become familiar with the customer's network implementation and support processes and procedures.Use of network design tools (e.g. Ciena OnePlanner, Ciena MPBP, etc.) Create, review, validate and publish required customer required reports Contribute to customer support knowledgebase.Travel to other customer sites with short notice.May also be engaged in customer training.Participate with peers to co-resolve critical client Multi-technology network issues and provide creative recommendations to highly complex network issues.Must follow Global Technical Support processes as outlined and provided.

General Activities
Provide on-call support evenings and weekends for critical events.Establish and maintain a strong technical support relationship with assigned clients.Participate with peers to co-resolve critical client multi-technology network issues and provide creative recommendations to highly complex network issues.Verify and report design, reliability and maintenance problems or defects to the engineering teams and communicate with engineering and manufacturing on problems found in the field.Act as a technical consultant to other Technical Support functions and others in the company.

Experience
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science or related field/discipline.8 plus years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience Excellent understanding of SONET/SDH, ATM, GbE, ADM, TL1 commands, and other Switching/transport concepts are required.Experience with Ciena 6500 product line General understanding of transport and switching systems for telecommunications applications Familiar with the use of various optical and Ethernet technologies test equipment.Demonstrates exceptional technical skills proficiency that is rated outstanding with relations to the product supported.Good knowledge and experience with Network Management software and general understanding of the fiber optic transport and switching protocols is desired.Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and debug complex system level issues.Excellent customer service interaction skills especially in stressful situations.Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills.Team player. Must be able to work well in a collaborative team environment that promotes sharing of knowledge and experiences.Experience in providing technical support; preferably through an equipment vendor in the Telco equipment industry.Expert in defining problem down to design level and translating back to Development Engineering.Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results Must be punctual and able to accept continuous unusual work hours. Typically, there will be very short notice.
