Position Summary: The Senior Managing Trade Consultant is an integral member of the Mohawk Global Trade Advisory team (MGTA), a group of subject-matter experts who constitute the consultative arm of Mohawk's international trade business. The Senior Managing Trade Consultant provides trade compliance-related expertise and compliance project leadership to meet the needs of Mohawk's clients as well as oversite of a team of professionals supporting our clients' import and export programs. The Senior Managing Trade Consultant is passionate about leading both compliance consulting projects, a team and other related duties to ensure the highest levels of delivered services. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage and mentor of a team of international trade professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and development. Client Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their trade needs and provide strategic guidance on compliance and optimization. Project Oversight: Lead/Support and coordinate various projects, including HTS classification, compliance assessments, prior disclosures, AD/CVD, PGA support, and duty minimization initiatives. Hands-On Support: Actively participate in project execution, providing expertise in compliance strategies, regulatory initiatives/questions and operational efficiencies. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all trade and customs activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, staying abreast of changes in trade policies and procedures. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze trade data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings. Prepare reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies that enhance our service offerings and strengthen our market position.
