Duties
Contribute to the automation goals for the department
Design, implement and improve company automation framework
Responsible for managing automation test environments, ensuring software and test data is acceptable for the testing performed.
Responsible for assisting with and utilizing the pipeline that executes the automation tests
Creating Java-based automation test cases and performing code reviews on team members tests, providing solid feedback where needed.
Analyze data in order to find areas for growth

Required Skills and Experience:
BS/BA degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business/CS or related) or relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
3 + years coding with Java and experience with SQL
Expertise using Selenium, Selenide, and Appium for mobile automation
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and have demonstrated experience of effectively engaging with Product Development, IT and Software Ops teams.
Experience with routinely interfacing with software developers and other team managers on “upstream” process improvements and key activities that lead to more efficient “downstream” QA system testing.
Proven ability to develop an automation framework, or relevant experience in creating automated tests for web driven testing along with automated scripts for API testing
Attention to detail including precise and effective documentation and managing multiple priorities simultaneously

Design and develop all custom report types for all modules in Workday to include creation of calculated fields and condition rules.
Develop and distribute end user guides.
Research, develop & recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll). Use project management skills in managing projects. May provide overall project management for a given HR initiative.
Adept at utilizing vendor community & other resources to answer questions, solve problems and make basic system configuration recommendations.

Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Research and recommend contract rates for new business based on current market conditions, cost structure and internal benchmarking considerations.
Analyze new and existing business opportunities across the organization.
Utilize external FreightWaves and DAT data to keep abreast of market conditions.
Prepare quarterly, annual or customer-driven or contract/bid-driven business reviews by account.
Working knowledge of other business units across the organization to promote cross-selling opportunities to other operating divisions.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in business management, Business Administration, Finance or Supply Chain Management required. 1 year of relevant work experience may be substituted for every year of education required.
2-3+ years of related experience preferred.
Previous experience with a Logistics role preferred.

General Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst II supports the NCG Analytics team by delivering data analysis, preparation, and visualization that transform data into actionable insights for Unum's large-case business strategy. This role works independently on moderately complex analytics, leveraging strong technical and domain expertise to help business partners make informed decisions. The analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams-including Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers-to gather and validate requirements, develop insights, and strengthen processes and offerings. The position may also provide mentorship to junior BI analysts and is ideal for a creative, analytical professional passionate about data-driven problem solving.
Job Specifications
Bachelors Degree preferred, and/or equivalent experience
4+ years experience with demonstrated success at a BI Analyst I level or comparable data analytics related field
Proficient in analytics programming languages (SQL/R/Python)
Demonstrated expertise with modern BI toolsets (Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, or equivalent)
Demonstrated understanding of data profiling, statistical analysis and data modeling concepts
Proficient in extracting and leveraging data out of data warehouse, transactional databases, object stores & API based environments
Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Ability to embrace change, adapt to the unexpected, and focus energies, people, and solutions on practical and positive results
Demonstrated problem solving skills

Collaborate with data engineers to perform data validation and testing activities as appropriate
Continuously develop and build upon existing in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, company and competitor landscape
