Description


The AI/ML Data Organization is seeking a talented Data Scientist to conduct human evaluation methodology research! Your work will provide the building blocks for evaluating and improving our Siri product. You will drive core metrics and help to produce annotated data sets that empower engineering teams to improve Siri.You will: - Conduct R&D to drive metrics development and evaluation methods - your work will drive sound statistical inferences about Siri product quality - Deep dive into complex business problems and determine how we can best engineer our evaluation systems to produce information that influence business decisions - Partner closely with cross functional teams (engineers, PMs, analysts) to get your methodological developments translated into technologies that Siri engineering will use to evaluate and improve Siri


Education & Experience


Cognitive Science, Statistics, Economics, Sociology, or other quantitative fields.Prefer advanced degree + 3 years of industry experience.

In this role , you will be responsible for identifying key metrics and conducting in-depth analyses to guide business and inform strategy decisions. The right individual will know how to frame a business issue and design the right analysis to find the answers, fluent in using SQL, python and other big data techniques, and adept at developing insights and building narratives to support key initiatives.

What you will do:


Collaborate with functions across the company to develop insights and analytic solutions for internal and external clients. Conduct in-depth analyses and build statistical models to identify trends and key drivers that inform important decisions in product, sales, risk and operations. Build data visualization by leveraging existing tools or developing new ones, as well as providing ongoing enhancements to business dashboards. Implement processes and build tools to make data access, extraction and analysis more efficient. Build and grow relationships with internal teams to proactively identify business needs and address them using analytics.



What we are looking for:


3+ years experience doing quantitative data analysis, ideally in online payments industry B. S. or M.S. in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science, from a top school Fluent in SQL, and experienced with a statistical software package and/or a programming language such as R or python Experienced with Looker,Tableau, Chartio, or other data visualization and BI tools Strong attention to details and organizational skills Comfortable handling sometimes ambiguously-defined problems, developing creative solutions and delivering against aggressive timelines Excellent communication and presentation skills, and proven ability to translate data into actionable insights A team player, and work well with teams across the company driving towards a common goal

Summary:

This individual will be responsible for leading problem analysis, customer interaction, solution design, front end and back-end integration, maintenance, and support of data science and analytics solutions. The selected candidate will:

+ Leverage the KCNSC's Big Data Platform (Hue, Apache Spark, Zeppelin, etc.) to lead the development and deployment of tools aimed at process improvement, defect reduction, and predictive analytics for manufacturing and business applications

+ Work directly with customers and business partners to develop requirements and provide technical solutions through an analysis of manufacturing/business needs and pain points

+ Support the ingestion, data preparation, curation, and governance of large, multi-faceted data sets supporting analytics models and workflows

+ Contribute to the production of information products, supporting visualization and data accessibility in a customer centric manner

+ Provide technical guidance or business process expertise, technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members

You Must Have:

+ BS in engineering from ABET accredited institution or master's degree in data science or related field, or two years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree

+ Five or more years of relevant experience in data science or related technical activities

+ Expert using scripting and querying languages, such as Python, R, SQL, and others

+ Demonstrated experience in serving as a technical lead of moderately complex projects

+ Demonstrated analytical skills, proficient with computer software applications, and the ability to produce and consume written documentation
