Key Responsibilities:

+ The Data Recording group within Development Operations performs a wide variety of technical tasks in support of engine instrumentation and test facility readiness for development and production testing.

+ The organization supports structural, performance and advanced measurement data recording systems, sensor installations and calibration.

+ Tasks include consultation with engineering and customer groups to establish requirements, mechanical and electrical installations, troubleshooting and calibration of devices in the test facility or lab, and operation of data acquisition systems during validation testing.

+ This position involves a high degree of interaction with both test engineering and operations groups requiring effective verbal and written communication skills.

+ A strong emphasis is placed on dedication, innovation, resourcefulness and attention to detail.

+ This organization supports testing and field operations across multiple company and customer sites throughout the US and the world.

+ Significant overtime and travel opportunities will be available.

+ US Citizenship required.

+ US Government security clearance, active and or able to obtain and maintain.

+ Note this is a first shift position

+ Expected Time Spent Travelling - 10%.

Basic Qualifications:

+ HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.

+ Applies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ AA/AS degree in Electronics/Engineering or 2-year post high school in equivalent training with 4+ years of relevant experience.

+ Candidate's knowledge of instrumentation types and sensor applications in the aerospace industry is desirable.

+ Experience in sensor wiring, terminations, egress, signal conditioning and data acquisition system operation and troubleshooting is required.

+ Sensor types include but not limited to strain gages, accelerometers, pressure transducers, thermocouples, proximity and blade positioning optical measurement equipment.

+ Successful candidates will have a good balance between mechanical and electrical aptitude.

+ Strong background in MS Office is required and experience in other signal acquisition or processing software is a plus.

What You'll Do

As a Tax Senior within the Multistate Tax Services group, you will provide innovative technology solutions to complex state and local tax issues across a diverse client base. You will continue to grow your technical knowledge in state taxation and emerging technologies by working on large, complex tax projects. You will have access to exceptional resources and continue to develop your supervisory skills. Responsibilities include:

+ Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and streamline work flows through application of emerging technologies and implementing those ideas.

+ Contributing to innovation efforts within Deloitte's multistate tax practice.

+ Supporting development efforts for new state tax technology applications or offerings

+ Assisting leaders with business development activities related to state tax technology offerings.

+ Providing support on client projects related to state tax technology offerings.

The Team

Deloitte's Multistate Tax Services (MTS) group is the largest State and Local Tax (SALT) practice in the United States with more than 1,000 professionals nationwide. Our Multistate Tax professionals include former state tax auditors and administrators, industry personnel, tax practitioners, accounting specialists, and technology personnel with numerous years of multistate tax experience. Collectively, our team has significant experience with the requirements and nuances of jurisdictions in all 50 states. Our specific services include state income and franchise tax, indirect tax, business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax outsourcing, excise tax, property tax, state strategic tax review, and state tax controversy.

Qualifications

Required:

+ 3+ years of experience in Corporate tax compliance or other tax experience

+ Experience with data extract/transform/load (ETL) tools (e.g. Alteryx, Informatica, PAXATA)

+ Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or computer science relevant field

+ Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

+ One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing able to obtain:

+ Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA

+ If not CPA eligible:

+ Licensed attorney

+ Enrolled Agent

+ Limited Immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

+ State taxation experience

+ Experience with ONESOURCE compliance /provision software tools

+ Organizational skills with ability to multitask/manage multiple projects simultaneously

+ Creative and problem-solving skills

+ Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, QlikView)

+ Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax or JD and/or LLM

+ Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $65,800 and $122,200.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

The Office of Data Management (ODM) within the Finance Division, performs a variety of tasks to help the Finance departments align with corporate data policies and standards. We work with various finance departments on data management documentation, processes, and training.

The role will be responsible for the management of business-focused projects (e.g., Data Governance, Data Quality, and Other Data related functions), provide innovative, thorough, and practical resolutions to a range of problems, and work on projects that require broad knowledge of the ODM and its key functions.
Our Impact:

Our team implements and monitors several key data management related items, from metadata, structured and unstructured data practices, and identification of critical data elements (CDEs) all the way to its lineage representation in Freddie Mac's approved data lineage tools. ODM Collaborates with external data owners to ensure source data quality aligns with business needs. ODM works includes:

* Collaboration with the division risk officer (DRO) to develop divisional procedures that align with corporate guidelines and the finance data strategy.

* Assessment of risk management criteria such as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)

* Develop strategy for data management program, evaluating the performance of the data management program, monitoring and reporting of data management controls and data quality controls.

ODM is a new group recently created and you can help create and implement the Finance Data Management Strategy to help departments within the Finance Division align with corporate data policies and standards.

Your Impact:

As a member of the ODM Team you will:

* Help create a roadmap for the next 24 months and implement the Finance Data Strategy to improve Finance's maturity on capabilities described in the Data Capabilities Assessment Model (DCAM).

* Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information from internal and external sources with attention to detail.

* Construct detailed presentation decks, reports, automated programs, and algorithms to detect and explain data management related issues.

* Demonstrate understanding of internal business segment partners

* Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines.

* Using computational tool to analyze the lineage of Critical Data Element (CDEs) to ensure completeness and accuracy

Qualifications:

* 3--5 years of related professional experience

* Master's Degree or advanced degree preferred

* Proficient in working with large-scale business data sets,

* Fluent in scripting and rapid prototyping skills including expertise in technology such as SQL and Python.

* Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.

* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel

* Prior experience with AWS is a plus

* Prior experience with Data Modelling is a plus
