Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.

+ 3 years of experience in a technical, UX, or design setting, or related experience.

+ Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript development.

+ Experience with development on mobile platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

+ 7 years developing clean, valid, and compatible websites and applications.

+ 5 years of experience in a Technical, UX, or Design setting, or related experience.

+ 3 years of experience managing projects.

+ Experience in one or more of the following: Python/PHP/Ruby, Flash/ActionScript, Objective-C, or Java.

+ Experience with object-oriented JavaScript and modern JavaScript libraries (e.g., Closure, jQuery, Node).

+ Experience with vector and motion graphics, including SVG, HTML5 Canvas, and animation using JavaScript and CSS.

Under General Supervision, utilizing technical expertise or overseeing a specific area within established practices and guidelines, by Management of Fluor or its subsidiaries (indicated as "the Company"), the purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative and technical knowledge and direction for the job functions listed below with the objective of ensuring Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value.
Primary Job Duties/Functions:
1. Serves as Lead or Area Lead on assigned projects or engineering assignments of moderate to difficult complexity and develops the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline engineering work.Lead duties include but are not limited to: develops and updates job plans, supports proposal and estimate activities, develops and reviews specifications including design criteria, develops and monitors schedules, develops and monitors manpower estimate forecasts, assigns work to teams, monitors material estimates and quantities, interfaces with project disciplines/client representatives/construction, participates in equipment and material procurement activities, permitting activities and subcontracting activities
2. Performs and checks calculations, specifies equipment, and solves problems of moderate to difficult engineering complexity
3. Reviews specifications, drawings, and vendor equipment documentation from both within the discipline as well as from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements and actively seeks resolution
4. Monitors work done by Fluor offices or other designated entities performing Distributed Execution Engineering
5. Directs and oversee audits
6. Ensures adherence to Industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
7. Actively participates in and promotes the use of Fluor's Knowledge Community and other available resources
8. Participates in people development through mentoring, development of training material, and conducting of training seminars
9. Focuses on performance appraisal input and counseling
10. Develops and builds client relations
11. Provides close interface with, and promotes the understanding of, other discipline functions
12. Meets Company expectations for attendance
13. Other related duties/functions as assigned
Secondary Job Duties/Functions:
1. Supports the Global Excellence Leader and Department Manager on initiatives
2. Assists in the development of department standards, procedures, practices and guidelines
3. Assists with company functions outside the department
4. Actively participates in Fluor University® as necessary to follow the curricula as outlined in the Functional Development Frameworks
5. Travels to ensure successful execution of Project or Department goals
6. Promotes company branding by active participation in external technical organizations and code committees and presents technical papers or presentations through Fluor's P4 process
7. Serves as member on an external organization or code committee's steering or technical committee


Basic Job Requirements


•Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
•Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
•Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
•Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

1. Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets.

+ Multi-disciplinary understanding of EE, ME, and Physics principles

+ Strong EE fundamentals and experience with analog/mixed signal design

+ Proven working proficiency in algorithms development / signal processing as applied to sensor systems

+ Proficiency in MATLAB, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling / scripting tools

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with collaboration and leadership skills

+ Familiarity with mechanical design principles, FEA, and advanced materials is a plus

+ Proficiency in COMSOL, Maxwell, or similar FEA tools is a plus

+ Analog circuit design experience required

+ Experience with scripting languages (MATLAB, Python etc.) required

+ Knowledge of electrical, thermal, and mechanical systems is preferred

+ Experience with high volume mass production is a plus

**Description**

You will develop and maintain comprehensive, multi-functional sensor system models to inform decisions. You will work with your peers on system integration challenges such as sensor and module design as well as co-existence analysis and mitigations. You will work on a cross-disciplinary team for feature definition, block-level simulation, and spec authorship of sensor modules. You will propose and negotiate multi-functional requirements to guarantee module performance. Develop of detailed module architecture specifications based on first principles analysis and complex engineering trade-offs. Lead efforts for future sensor technologies. Analyze engineering and production datasets in order to reconcile system models with real-world measurements. Work with test teams to ensure sensors are tested and calibrated to specification. Collaborate with firmware and algorithm teams to develop advanced algorithms to ensure module performance meets user experience requirements. Work closely with the mechanical engineering team in optimizing material and mechanical design trade-offs. Help mentor and lead junior engineers as they grow into leaders of their own. Author regular technical communication for executive and multi-functional briefings. Up to 10% travel required (this % may vary by team).

M.S. + 10 years or PhD + 3 years in Electrical Engineering, Physics or industry experience equivalent
