* Interprets formal design build RFPs and develops work plans, collaborating with preconstruction, operations, and other key stakeholders.
* Understands potential client's business needs and helps create conceptual plans, elevations, 3D models, for support of presentations and win strategies.
* Reviews and understands bridging documents for project compliance with RFP including comprehension of Codes and Criteria to meet the technical requirements and design deliverables.
* Supports early phase basic due diligence activities with clients and key stakeholders to ensure professional studies, jurisdictional & permitting requirements are incorporated into design documents.
* Manages outside design consultants, assuring they meet the technical requirements as well as schedule requirements for design deliverables.

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is currently seeking a Distribution Designer for our Utility Services team to support projects in the greater Kansas City, MO area. This position will accommodate a REMOTE WORK arrangement, but the candidate will be expected to reside within approximately a one hour radius of Kansas City, MO in order to conduct field data acquisition in the client's service area in addition to performing design duties.

Responsibilities
• Reports project progression updates and/or issues to Lead Electrical Designers required.

Qualifications
• Associates, Vocational or Bachelor's degree in Design & Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology or Design or a related degree.
• 2-15 years of electrical design experience or related field experience preferred but not required.
• Experience utilizing 3D programs such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or Navisworks and have knowledge of the latest computer operating systems.
• Must be able to conceptualize in a 3D environment.
• Must be able to communicate through emails and utilize electronic meeting requests.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Members of our Digital Art/Design team produce artistically creative digital work for multi-channel modern marketing campaigns. AAFP campaigns focus on driving revenue and engagement for AAFP membership, education, events, conferences, products and other services. The primary focus for all creative team members is to translate AAFP member needs into branded designs for digital assets. Digital assets may include website and landing pages, paid and social media, illustrations, infographics, emails, app design support, video editing and more. At the AAFP we count on creative team members to stay current with the latest design technologies and trends by engaging in online learning, attending webinars, critiquing external work, reading design articles and blogs or listening to relevant podcasts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Build the AAFP brand by implementing the current brand guidelines and championing its shared visual language to unify all AAFP offerings into a cohesive overall brand experience online.
Work closely with partners to develop creative outputs that support priorities and business goals while working under tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail and a holistic vision.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with internal colleagues, members and other stakeholders working as part of a high-volume creative team.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of two years directly related experience.
