Our company (Pageport, Inc.) is launching a new product called Slant - an AI-powered CRM built specifically for financial advisors with the mission of helping 20M Americans make better financial decision by increasing the capacity of financial advisors by 50-100%. We believe AI is the most transformative technology of our lifetimes, and that every “legacy” software product will be completely reimagined over the next 5 years with deeply integrated, vertical-specific AI replacements. And there is no software category more ready to be burned down and rebuilt than CRM. CRM is the most widely adopted software in the world - and also the most hated. It over-promises, under-delivers, and is universally painful to use. Every business runs differently and pleasing a single customer often results in frustration for three others. The result is pages and pages of settings, confusing interfaces, and software that requires full-time consultants to manage. We believe there's a better way. We're completely rebuilding and rethinking the CRM from the ground up. In order to do that, weneed to make tasteful decisions on what product suggestions really mean and the true best way to solve core problems. For example, does the customer really need a custom field for "favorite drink", or do they just want to tell the AI assistant to remember it? Do we really need 10 step workflows, or is there one job that needs to be done? Do they really want a report builder or do they just want to chat and find all their clients with a birthday next week? To answer these questions well, we need amazing people. Reimagining familiar UX patterns with AI-driven patterns that still feel familiar / are easy to use is an extremely difficult design challenge. Many of our most difficult design decisions are not something you go pull good examples from Mobbin and make a mood board. Product Design: * Develop detailed product designs using various CAD software and other design tools. * Ensure designs meet ergonomic, functional, and aesthetic requirements. * Develop and maintain a consistent ZAGG brand Visual Design Language across multiple product lines. * Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve designs. * Review CAD from contract manufacturers to ensure all design elements are maintained through Design for Manufacturing. 3. Project Management: * Oversee multiple design projects from concept to production. * Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and manufacturing. * Ownership over project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. * Self-directed, focused on objectives, processes, and staying on task under minimal supervision 4. Research and Trends Analysis: * Conduct market research to identify new design trends, materials, and technologies. * Analyze competitor products and industry standards to inform design decisions. 5. Prototyping and Testing: * Develop and test prototypes to evaluate design performance and user experience. * Iterate designs based on testing results and user feedback. * Prepare files for 3D printing and running the 3D printer. 6. Collaboration: * Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and manufacturable. * Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure designs align with brand identity and market strategy. * Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers and interns. 7. Documentation and Presentation: * Prepare detailed design documentation including specifications, drawings, CMF documents * Present design concepts and progress updates to stakeholders 8. Compliance and Standards: * Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. * Develop standards for ZAGG brand product compliance * Stay updated on changes in design standards and best practices. Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills: * Highly proficient in the most up to date 3D modeling and rendering software. * SolidWorks * Keyshot * Fusion360 (nice to have but not required) * Proficient in: * Adobe Photoshop * Adobe Illustrator * Adobe InDesign * Microsoft Word & Excel. * Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques. Creative Skills: * Strong aesthetic sense * High attention to detail. * Ability to think creatively and solve complex design problems. * Proficient with traditional hand sketching through to digital drawing Soft Skills: * Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills * Proficient in the development and presentation of design concepts for a wide range of audiences. * Strong project management and organizational skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members. * Successful under tight time frames as well as high pressure environments * Seek out and apply feedback for personal development, as well as constructively provide feedback to others * Passion for making great products * High personal standard for quality of work Additional Requirements * Passion for design and a continuous drive to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the market. * Portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and accomplishments.
