USPI senior developer analyst job description

The Sr. Analyst of Development Strategy and Special Projects will play a key role on USPI's Corporate Development team. The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development and continued improvement of the overall M&A strategy process, standards, and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with analytical tools with application of strategic and critical thinking skills to synthesize findings and make recommendations. In this role, the Sr. Analyst will have exposure to and experience working with all areas of the M&A business, in addition to working on special projects supporting USPI's key priorities and initiatives and Corporate Development team.
The Sr. Analyst's essential duties and responsibilities will include the following:



Manage and be subject matter expert on strategic development tools and reporting
Design and lead process for advanced, dynamic, and automated reporting of critical development metrics
Collect, analyze, synthesize, and present data and insights
Conduct market assessments and present findings and recommendations to M&A team and USPI executives
Facilitate process improvement planning and implementation, developing and refining processes and standards of the Corporate Development team
Lead project management activities and other special projects supporting USPI's key priorities and initiatives
Develop executive-level presentations, reports and materials



Required Skills:



Bachelor's Degree from a top-tier university
2-3 years of work experience in a relevant role; preferred experience in consulting, finance, or corporate development field
Advanced user of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong analytical, process improvement and critical thinking skills
Must be detail-oriented, have excellent time-management skills and experience in producing professional, high quality work products

Job Summary
Bedrock's Senior Development Analyst reports to the Senior Vice President and leads the financial analysis group within Bedrock's development team. The Senior Development Analyst leads all financial analysis for Bedrock development projects, from initial conception through opening.

Responsibilities
Lead Development Analysts and Development Analyst Associates in the creation of project pro formas for Bedrock's extensive development pipeline including both adaptive reuse and new construction projects, across a variety of asset classes and both mixed- and single-use properties Present and prepare investment recommendations for projects backed by clear and comprehensive sensitivity, scenario, cost-benefit, and other analyses Advise Development project leaders on program, budget, and phasing decisions tied to underwriting Exercise leadership in understanding and implementing local, state, and Federal incentive programs and guide Development Analysts and Development Analyst Associates on how to integrate incentives into pro formas Create roll-up summaries of the development pipeline to inform Bedrock financial planning, cash flow projections, and portfolio-level financing efforts Guide Development Analysts and Development Analyst Associates in the preparation of market research and comparable studies to support project decisions at conception and throughout the project design phase Support Development team leaders on assorted analytical tasks.Lead relationship with Bedrock's asset management, investment, and other relevant teams to ensure two-way information flow with respect to project underwriting assumptions - rents, operating expenses, absorption, taxes, etc.Serve as the Development team's liaison in efforts to secure construction loans, permanent loans, and other vehicles needed to fund development projects Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Greater than 5 years of experience in real estate financial modeling from areas such as real estate development, investment banking, consulting, or other positions Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or economics, preferred Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and presentation software Experience with Argus preferred, but not required Strong written, presentation, and general communication skills
