In Colorado, the anticipated base salary for this role is $175,000.00 with potential bonus and equity eligibility. Note: The final compensation for this position may consider factors including the geographic location where the work is performed (candidate's assigned office) and prior work experience of the candidate.

We are looking for a Sr. Director of Global Commodity Engineering to join our Supply Chain Operations team. As part of the team, you play a key role in BOM sourcing for the quality and reliability of our NVIDIA's designed PCBA and systems products. Additionally, you will join thought leadership in supplier and component qualification methods supporting multiple business segments, including Datacenter, Automotive, Industrial, and Consumer.
What you'll be doing:

+ Develop and drive Commodity Strategies for NVIDIA's rapidly growing systems business

+ Champion the BOM Sourcing for Quality framework across all commodities and functional teams for the most robust products possible

+ Demonstrating high energy for collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines to align critical success factors in BOM component selection and qualification methods

+ Ensure robust part validation and component factory qualification, design validation, and identified gap closures

+ Identify reliability risks to ensure staffing and expertise are applied to validate supplier qualification plans, product data sheets, manufacturability, and sub-tier suppliers

+ Ensure procedures/requirements to handle BOM component performance in manufacturing and service operations to ensure continuous improvements and future strategic sourcing considerations.

What we need to see:

+ Graduate degree or bachelor's degree in related fields or equivalent experience, EE preferred

+ 20+ years of proven overall experience, the majority with leading-edge technology companies, ten years of management experience

+ Strong Quality and Reliability training and background in the electronics industry

+ A self-motivated, well-organized, proactive team leader working with multiple technical and non-technical corporate functions across matrix-organizational boundaries.

+ Direct experience in working with BOM component suppliers

+ Ability to handle ambiguity and build transparency, be responsible for multiple projects

+ Excellent interpersonal skills with geographically diverse teams and functional groups

+ Familiarity with datacenter, automotive or industrial electronics experience

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a discipline that combines software and systems engineering for building and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that internal and external services meet or exceed reliability and performance expectations while adhering to Equifax engineering principles.SRE is also an engineering approach to building and running production systems - we engineer solutions to operational problems. As SREs are responsible for overall system operation, we use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad set of problems. What You'll Do
You will influence and design infrastructure, architecture, standards and methods for large-scale systems You will support services prior to production via infrastructure design, software platform development, load testing, capacity planning and launch reviews You will maintain services during deployment and in production by measuring and monitoring key performance and service level indicators including availability, latency, and overall system health You will automate system scalability and continually work to improve system resiliency, performance and efficiency You will practice sustainable incident response as part of an on-call rotation and through blameless postmortems You will remediate tasks within corrective action plan via sustainable, preventative, and automated measures whenever possible

What experience you need
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience required4+ years of experience developing and/or administering software in public cloud (GCP or AWS)6+ years of experience in monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.5+ years of experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, Java, Go, Perl, JavaScript and/or node.js3+ years of experience in automation and orchestration of Linux/Windows using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt Stack and/or containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)3+ years of experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices
