Protective is seeking a leader to join our IT Financial Systems team as a Senior IT Director. The person selected for this role will oversee and manage a team of professionals who provide enhancements and maintenance support to both business and IT facing systems. The Senior IT Director will have strong business and technical acumen and fully understand computing requirements for multiple business units, including their processes and systems, to provide solutions that will help propel business success. This position contributes to on-going process improvements and influences others through leadership and example.
ResponsibilitiesManage a team of Software Engineers (Developers).Oversee and contribute to the design requirements for modifications to and maintenance of large, complex systems and/or support processes.Lead by example, manage performance and provide opportunities for ongoing development to staff.Interface regularly with key customers and agile stakeholders to report progress, address problems/defects and coordinate future work aligned to business needs.Demonstrate a strong understanding of business needs and help represent the Financial Systems area in IT governance processes. Represent the team in interdepartmental and corporate initiatives; proactively make recommendations for better utilization of available technology. Develop and maintain company and industry knowledge.Act as a consultant on many projects and help develop project plans, schedules and ensure timely, value-added results. Actively participate in the evaluation of new systems.Ensure that all programming changes and enhancements are thoroughly documented, tested and meet corporate standards.Ensure the quick diagnosis of complex production support problems; determine and implement quality solutions in a timely fashion to reduce business impact.Conduct routine 1 on 1's with employees to discuss workload/scheduling/issues, etc.Perform quarterly check-ins with employees Perform audit reviews/certifications for IT changes Attend and represent IT Financial Systems in monthly SLA meetings Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams as part of routine system upgrades or troubleshooting efforts Coordinate with application vendors for support of SaaS or on-premise systems
QualificationsBachelor's degree in a financial or technology related field and 10-15 years of applicable work experience. Prefer computer systems development/maintenance/support background .Ability to manage and lead a team with at least 5 years of IT management.Working knowledge of systems and software development concepts, practices, and procedures (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) Knowledge of distributed, client server, cloud systems with mainframe systems an added plus Project management experience or SCRUM certification Presentation and negotiation skills and the ability to lead meetings professionally and effectively Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and work well under the pressure of deadlines Ability to solve complex technical problems Must be self- motivated, able to work and learn independently, coachable and committed to continuous learning.Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members, both verbally and in writing

Section 1: About the Job
CHANEL is seeking a Senior Leader to lead the Technology Strategy & Governance pillar and act as the chief-of-staff to the CHANEL US CIO. This individual will enable the CIO and his Tech_ Leadership team to steer the CHANEL Tech_ department based on the Business and Technology objectives.
This role is responsible for Technology Strategic Planning, Portfolio Management Office, Asset Management and for partnering closely with the Finance, and Indirect Procurement functions to enable the Governance of the department. Additionally, this role is accountable for the management of the department's Transformation program and for piloting a new service around Audit & Compliance and Systems Inventory.

Lead the governance team made of the PMO, finance, and indirect procurement leads Produce data and metrics to enable the CIO and Tech_ Leaders to make decisions concerning business priorities, timing, spend, and people allocation on projects and services Ensure updates, tracking, and execution of the technology cost optimization road map with Indirect Procurement lead Inform and recommend actions regarding technology portfolio progress, risks, and updates at monthly business governance meetings with technology and business leadership teams Host multiple offsites a year with technology and business team members to align on short- and long-term priorities Align several times a year with Chanel Inc.
