Essential Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, software engineers, and other personnel as assigned, through all phases of product development, from concept to implementation. Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, budgets, and schedules, and compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and related specifications. Provide technical leadership in both hardware and software domains, including architecture decisions, design reviews, and code/hardware quality assurance. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Service, and Sales to support existing products and deliver new products. Develop and implement engineering best practices, tools, and methodologies to improve team efficiency and product quality. Mentor and develop team members, conducting regular performance reviews and fostering a culture of learning, personal development, and innovation. Evaluate and review design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Examine and Approve Instruction manuals, Service bulletins, Alterations to drawings and technical information, Sales application and other engineering requests as required, first article samples of purchased products as required. Identify customer needs and opportunities, collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams, building consensus on product direction and roadmap. Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, budgets, and schedules, and compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and related specifications. Develop a strategic view of external technology developments and create product and process direction for the Electrical & Software Engineering team.
