Key Responsibilities: Provide civil-structural design and direction on complex substation engineering projects. Lead discipline-specific work and perform responsible charge engineering duties. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables. Create and review substation civil-structural drawing packages, including foundations, structural steel, bus, and cable. Analyze and design foundation types, transformer oil containment systems, and structural elements. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Collaborate with other design disciplines, contractors, consultants, and clients. Support proposal development, project estimating, permitting, and business development efforts. Conduct site visits to address civil-structural engineering issues and modify designs as needed. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and best practices. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations. Key Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering within the power delivery industry. Expertise in substation civil-structural design and engineering principles. Strong knowledge of project management, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling. Proficiency with engineering software, drawing tools, and modeling programs. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership. Experience in field/construction environments preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve design and construction issues. Additional Information: Full-time onsite role in the Southeast. Occasional travel for site visits or project oversight may be required.
