Job Summary: The ideal candidate to fill this position is an ElectricalEngineer that is competent and confident in his/her abilities as an electricalengineer, especially with experience in industrial / power and process work. This person would be a Project Manager of multiple projects, work with an internal MEP/FP team to deliver projects that meet the objectives of the architect/owner. Business Development acumen is important, so understanding business development is a plus and opens many avenues for advancement. These activities may include developing an action plan to solicit and secure new work, implementation of goals, objectives, and priorities for the Charleston office, identifying prospective markets and clients, etc.
General Duties:
Knowledge of electricalengineering principles in the field of power distribution, generation, and industrial/manufacturing construction.
Capable of increasing technical competency with experience and work ethic.
Experience with SKM/ETAP or other Electrical system modelling software.
Balance of Plant process electrical design experience integrating to chilled water, compressed air, and steam/hot water systems.
Ability to effectively communicate with architects, owners and contractors.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a strong team.
Excellent organization and time management skills

Skills:
7+ years of work experience with complex building electrical systems in the industrial and power / process sector.
Registered Professional Engineering license preferred, not required
Experience with Revit
Qualifications:
B.S. in ElectricalEngineering
Excellent written and oral communication skills essential for team-based projects.
Excellent planning and organizational skills required for simultaneous project schedules.
Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.

Qualifications / Experience:

Design experience in one of the following product segments:
Power, energy, defense, industrial automation and/or control industries
Telecommunications, RF applications & testing and DC circuits
Prior experience in the design of Surge Protection Devices will be a plus

+ Ensure that all electrical work performed either by the electrical/instrumentation technicians or outside contractors is performed in a safe manner and meets all applicable regulations.
+ Lead the Electrical Safe Work Practices (ESWP) and Energy Isolation (EI) programs.
+ Oversee the maintenance of process instrumentation to ensure proper environmental compliance.
