We are seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team in Orlando, FL or Atlanta, GA to produce complete I&C design packages for power plants.

How will you contribute to the team?
Work under the direction of the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and others to define and monitor project scope.
Supervise multiple engineers and designers on a daily basis; monitor and manage engineering and project budgets related to the I&C effort on a project. Plan work schedules of team members to meet project schedules.
Provide assistance in instrument selection for P&ID development. Provide I&C engineering calculations using approved procedures, software, and company formats.
Assist in control system engineering functions such as HMI graphics design, control logic development, communications link development and system configuration.
Utilizing instrumentation design software, catalog instrumentation information and develop instrument data sheets.
Develop project specific I&C equipment specifications based on project scope documents. Generate bid tab evaluations and purchase requisitions for specified equipment.
Review vendor drawings for correctness and contract requirements. Implement said information into I&C design documents.
Coordinate major I&C vendors and function as primary Company liaison. Check work of other members of the Engineering / Design Team.
Provide training to Engineers, Designers and Drafters as required. Support Business Development and/or the Vice President of Engineering in cost estimating for new projects.
Provide onsite project instrumentation and controls support to Construction and Start Up personnel.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited recognized institution.
Ten or more years of municipal water/wastewater treatment or water infrastructure engineering experience or equivalent.
Professional Engineering License required. Working knowledge of contracts and purchase orders. Control system engineering experience - SCADA systems Distributed Control System (DCS) and/or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience preferred.
General knowledge of cybersecurity concepts.
Familiarity with telecommunication system design a plus
Experience with control valve and flow meter sizing and specification. Familiarity with codes associated with the I&C discipline (NEC, ASME, NFPA, ISA, etc.).
Experience with I&C related design software packages.
Possess basic understanding of other discipline requirements, project flow and construction methodology including scheduling, productivity, subcontracts, etc. Ability to work with a multidiscipline team of engineers and designers in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing as well as verbally. Ability to work in a team environment.
Previous experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation, Revit, and/or AutoCAD software packages is preferred.
Flexible in balancing workload and priorities across multiple projects. Desire to build strong professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
