Essential Responsibilities:
Design and Development:

Project Management:
Manage electrical engineering projects from concept through completion.

Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance and expertise in the selection of electrical power and lighting
systems, life safety systems and security systems and components.
Conduct detailed site inspections and assessments to ensure design feasibility and
compliance.
Perform load calculations, lighting calculations, short-circuit analysis, arc flash hazard and
other engineering calculations as needed.
Specifying lighting controls and luminaire selections. Ensuring lighting designs meet
current standards and the clients' needs.
Specifying and sizing standby power systems.
Specifying auxiliary systems, including fire alarm systems and access control.
Integrating with CCTV and other low voltage systems design consultants.
Quality Assurance:
Review, approve, sign and seal electrical engineering documents and deliverables.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of designs.
Address and resolve any technical issues that arise during construction.
Mentorship and Leadership:
Mentor and train junior engineers and support staff.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Lead design review meetings and provide constructive feedback.
Client Interaction:
Interface with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical
solutions.
Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and technical presentations.
Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and project management.
Other:

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field.

Licenses and Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license in State of Michigan required, or ability to obtain
