Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Development Electrical Technician to work closely with our Berkeley-based Battery Products & System Development Teams. Reporting to the Manager of Battery Module Performance, this role is embedded directly in the engineering team and will support various testing engineering efforts including test stand development and sensor wiring/sensor layout design. What you'll do:Build out, test, and evaluate new battery test stand components Debug wiring and sensor setups & give feedback to improve the debug process Participate in design reviews and give design feedback to the engineering team Facilitate installation and assembly of new equipment
What you'll bring:4+ years experience as a technician or in a hands on role Experience working with off the shelf power supplies, DAQs, PLCs, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and electronic loads Proficiency with electrical schematics and wiring Experience working with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ability to contribute to updates and creation of new SOPsConscientious of electrical safety and high voltage testing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable using Gsuite tools (Gmail, Google Docs, etc.)
