Senior electronic engineer job description

US Citizen:Security Clearance: Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Contract 6-12+ months 40 hours weekly

Candidate will be expected to be on site as needed for the project. Hybrid as current model, 2/3 days on site.

Client is seeking a senior engineer for a role focused on electronics packaging. Specific responsibilities include: - Perform mechanical design and development associated with the physical arrangement of electronic circuits including assembly design, analysis, build, test, and documentation support -

Requires candidate to have "diel level packaging experience" Execute the design, tolerance analysis, evaluation, or failure analysis of assigned projects using mechanical design principles - Drive solutions to complex, customer driven problems with limited direction - develop requirements, propose ways forward when customer requirements are unclear or incomplete, and adapt appropriately to changes in requirements - Communicate effectively and openly with multi-disciplinary program teams, senior management, and sponsors - Track record of leading teams of 3 or more people to accomplish program goals, developing time/budgetary estimates, and mentoring junior engineers - Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve program goals Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science degree with 7+ years of experience in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, materials science, or manufacturing engineering - Master of Science degree with 5+ years of experience in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, materials science, or manufacturing engineering - Team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands - Experience with materials, fabrication, and assembly techniques associated with printed circuit assemblies including surface mount technology, high density substrates, rigid-flex designs, and integrated circuit assembly -

Experience designing/directing the physical layout of electrical circuits including SMD, interconnect definition, and integrated circuit assembly techniques - die level experience. Experience designing in 3D CAD using SolidWorks and/or CREO

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with analysis tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL, and/or MatLab - Familiarity with machine shop tools and processes, prototyping, and vendor coordination - Experience writing proposals, executing feasibility studies, and generating ROM estimates of system performance/size, weight, power/cost with imperfect or incomplete information

We are looking for an exceptional Sr. Electronic Engineer who can help us with new product introduction, qualification, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of power electronics in toroidal plasma source products. Come join a creative team of engineers dedicated to the product support and sustaining engineering of our Remote Plasma Source, Ozone and Microwave product lines. In this role you get an opportunity to:

Perform system and board level testing to validate that new products meet design goals. Develop, document, and execute design verification testing. Report results and recommend appropriate engineering tradeoffs to optimize functional performance, reliability, and product cost Support products in volume manufacturing by hands-on troubleshooting of problems and failure analysis of returned units Create and review design ECOs as needed to support new product development and sustaining engineering needs Participate in cross-functional project teams during design phase to achieve product design goals


What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity and your hands-on approach to problem solving is:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3 + years of experience in an electrical engineering or product engineering role. The ability to use tools such as oscilloscopes, high voltage probes, power meters, etc. to successfully and independently test and debug circuits The demonstrated experience creating and executing design verification test plans It would be great if you have: Experience with system and board-level failure analysis Experience with resonant tank circuits, RF inverters, DC/DC converters Knowledge of electronics reliability validation and testing General familiarity with IPC standards

As a Senior Chassis Electronics Engineer, you will design and validate Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems at the forefront of technology by being responsible for software and ECU architecture.

You will engage with attribute groups and other system owners to develop world-class functionality from concept to production.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop the requirements and specifications for EPS systems from initial concept to SOP with excellence and great detail Create, execute and document system design validation plans to include virtual, HiL and vehicle-based activity System calibration and measurement Networks design and integration (CAN, Ethernet and LIN) Issue investigation and resolution by open-minded use of all tools available Work closely with stakeholders and attribute owners across the company (Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, ADAS etc.) Work with multiple complex projects in a demanding environment Travel domestically and internationally as required
Qualifications4+ years of automotive experience with a proven track record of working with complex EPS systems Proven experience with Vector tools (CANape, CANalyzer, CDMStudio, etc.) Ability to read and work with electrical schematics, with sound understanding of electrical communication principles Hands-on practical experience in prototype development Proven experience reading and writing software code (Matlab/Python/CAPL scripting, C++, model based)
