The best certifications for a senior electronics technician are Master Certified Electronics Technician (CETma), Industrial Electronics (IND), and General Radiotelephone Operator (PG).
Senior electronics technician certifications demonstrate your competency as a senior electronics technician to employers. However, not all senior electronics technician certifications provide the same value.
Below is a list of the best senior electronics technician certifications. Obtaining a senior electronics technician certification will give you a leg up when you apply for jobs and increase your potential salary.
| Rank | Senior electronics technician certification | Organization |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Master Certified Electronics Technician (CETma) | ETA |
| 2 | Industrial Electronics (IND) | ETA |
| 3 | General Radiotelephone Operator (PG) | FCC |
| 4 | Mobile Communications and Electronics Installer | ETA |
| 5 | Associate Electronics Technician - Digital | ETA |
| 6 | Avionics Electronics Technician (AVN) | ETA |
A technician with six or more years combined work and electronics training may be eligible for the ETA Master Certified Electronics Technician (CETma) certification. The Master certification was created to showcase those technicians who are able to demonstrate proficiency in the many fields of electronics. In addition to the Associate level certification, one must successfully obtain six other certifications, with no more than two originating from the same specialized category, in order to qualify.
Industrial journeyman-level electronics technicians are expected to obtain knowledge of industrial electronics basic concepts, which are then applicable to all the various specialty areas of industry. Industrial Electronics Technicians must be knowledgeable and have abilities in the following technical and human relations areas: Amplifiers, Optical Wiring, Block Diagrams-Schematics, Power Supplies, Test Equipment-Tools, Mathematics, Computers-Digital Concepts, Safety, Satellite-Wireless-Data, Communications, Cabling, Troubleshooting, Motors, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Software.
PG is required to adjust, maintain, or internally repair FCC licensed radiotelephone transmitters in the aviation, maritime, and international fixed public radio services. It conveys all of the operating authority of the MP. It is also required to operate the following: any maritime land radio station or compulsorily equipped ship radiotelephone station operating with more than 1500 watts of peak envelope power.voluntarily equipped ship and aeronautical (including aircraft) stations with more than 1000 watts of peak envelope power.
This certification includes basic knowledge concepts of land mobile radio (LMR) and associated electronics equipment installation. This also incorporates required skills applicable to all of the functions required to safely and completely install mobile communications and associated electronic equipment, including removal and reinstallation.
Electronics Modules program are based on ETA's Associate level certification, and are divided into five modules. The purpose of this is to align with a growing portion of the electronics education industry that is charged with providing electronics training that does not include the total content of traditional Basic Electronics courses.
The avionics specialty is designed to assess the knowledge and skills of individuals who install, maintain and adjust electronics equipment, cabling and the accessories used in aviation communications and control equipment. An FCC GROL is also highly recommended. Several of the topics covered in this examination include: Avionics Systems, Cabling, Computers and Digital Concepts, Amplifiers, Interfacing, Antennas and Transmission Lines Components, Mathematics, Network Topologies and Infrastructures, People Relations, Optical Cabling, Safety, Test Equipment and Tools and Satellite Communications.
The best senior electronics technician certification is Master Certified Electronics Technician (CETma). The Master Certified Electronics Technician (CETma) is awarded by the ETA International. The advanced certification is for more experienced employees as it often requires some work experience to acquire.

1. Plastic electronics
Plastic electronics is a concept that emerged forty years ago, with the discovery of electrically conductive polymers. Ten years later, the first electronic devices using organic solids in place of the ubiquitous inorganic semiconductors were realised. The best achievement of plastic electronics is constituted by Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) that equip the display of many smartphones, and even TV sets. The objective of this course is to provide a comprehensive overview of the physics...
