Other duties as assigned. What You Bring EDUCATION AND TRAINING • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical field. • Experience as described below may be accepted in lieu of education. EXPERIENCE • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in application engineering, engineering design, product development, or related technical roles. • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus. • Experience with bolted joint assemblies and sealing technologies is a plus. • Education as described above may be accepted in lieu of experience. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS • Strong conceptual design skills, including sketching, rendering, and prototype model work utilizing CAD/CAM tools. • Advanced ability to perform engineering calculations to support product design activities. • Proficiency in drafting techniques and symbology. • Strong technical research skills. • Strong organizational skills. • Superior oral, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts. • Ability to communicate and work well with teams composed of customers and/or other employees of all levels. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where limited standardization exists. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. • Ability to formulate and document a high-level plan with input from many functional groups. • Ability to work under pressure of schedules.
