Among senior engineers, we discovered that 11.8% of them are women, while 82.2% are men. The most common race/ethnicity among senior engineers is White, which makes up 72.5% of all senior engineers. Comparatively, there are 15.7% of the Asian ethnicity and 7.0% of the Hispanic or Latino ethnicity. The majority of senior engineers are located in TX, Houston and NY, New York.

Senior engineers are more likely to work at public companies in comparison to private companies. Taking it a step further, senior engineers are more likely to find a job in the technology industry. Looking at senior engineer statistics, we found was that California, Arizona, Washington, Maine and New Hampshire are where senior engineers find the highest salaries.

From where do we know all information about senior engineer demographics? We analyzed 24,540 senior engineers resumes to find out what the average demographics are for the job position. Just to be clear, by demographics we mean the study of population-based factors like age, race, and sex. On top of scouring through resumes, we also took note of job proposals from employers and Census Bureau data. And guess what? We found some pretty interesting information.
