The
Sr Engineer - Observability Engineering
will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions leveraging open-source software, internally developed applications, and industry leading application performance management tools. Leveraging deep technical experience across a broad range of software languages, frameworks, and cloud providers, this roll will be responsible for developing and supporting new software capabilities to empower Best Buy DevOps teams with observability data (traces, events, metrics, and logs) and self-service tools across BestBuy.com, Best Buy mobile applications, retail stores, and supply chain warehouse locations.

This position will serve on a team of performance and reliability focused technology professionals, cooperatively working to measure and monitor IT solutions and ensuring product teams can deliver new features faster. 6) Setting a consistent example of agile practices, reliability, performance, application support, leads spring planning and coaches' other engineers to work as part for a cohesive DevOps team


Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Relevant experience includes working in application development, performance engineering, or application monitoring 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following skill sets: front end development (HTML/CSS/JS), back-end development (Ruby, Java, Python), monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Splunk, Graphite, Grafana, Elastic). 2+ years of experience building and deploying new technologies within an enterprise environment Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across functional areas with various levels of technical experience
