Purpose of Job
Reporting to the Discipline Engineering Lead; Mechanical Engineer supporting Discipline Engineering and Project Delivery functions for the Americas. Responsible for subject matter expertise in rotating equipment engineering supporting ongoing operations including maintenance and new capital project/turnaround engineering and design delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Provide authoritative technical subject matter expertise in Rotating Equipment Engineering for industrial process plant rotating equipment infrastructure. Should be a recognized expert in the field.
Lead and participate in technical forensic analysis, FFS, RCA, and investigation of site rotating equipment failures and deficiencies.
Evaluate the risk verses benefits of complex problems and decision analyses, and take and / or formulate appropriate actions.
Provide support to all departments and levels of the business and strategic guidance to senior and executive management. This includes knowing when to communicate to management, what communication is appropriate to a particular level of management, and what direction is required for decision on a path forward.
Engineer of record for on-site rotating equipment engineering and design.
Support capital projects and business development with appropriate guidance in concept development and FEL. A solid understanding of the FEL process is required.
Work with interdisciplinary project teams in scope development to ensure completeness and minimal change impact.
Support of engineering activities including engineering / design quality assurance, technical or stage / gate reviews, execution planning, etc.
Ensure compliance with Company, industry, and regulatory requirements, and support the waiver process when necessary.
Development and maintenance of Company standards and specifications.
Audit and technical assessments of rotating equipment vendors and contractors.
Support the Change Management Process, with safety focus as the top priority.
Formal Education
University Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Working Experience
10+ years relevant engineering experience
Experience performing detailed engineering and design for PSM regulated petrochemical or refining industries.
Required Personal and Professional Skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication abilities with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel and stakeholders at different levels of engineering, design, maintenance, operations, and management as well as corporate or global stakeholders.

Understanding of rotating equipment engineering and construction activities in both capital project execution and operating facilities support.

Knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, and ASTM with the ability to interpret/communicate these requirements to Company and contract engineers, designers, and equipment technicians.
Proven application knowledge in areas of rotating equipment design and construction such as pumps, turbines, compressors, agitators, etc.
Knowledge of stage gate project development and execution process.
Knowledge of SAP system or similar enterprise accounting system.

The Senior/Staff Engineer, Process Safety Management reports to the Engineering Superintendent, Process Safety Management, and will help to provide governance and assurance for an effective implementation of the Process Safety Management program elements. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Dependent on the specific work assignment within the Process Safety program, some or all of the following apply:
Support the adoption, implementation, and assurance of the PSM elements across the various site departments to ensure company best practices and procedures are understood, implemented and followed.
Support and facilitate PHAs and other risk assessment processes.
Identify and quantify Process Safety risks at the facility and measures for managing these risks.
Ensure Process Safety risks are tracked, communicated, action plans are approved, and risks managed properly through the Process Safety Risk Register and Risk Action Plans (RAP). Maintain and update the Process Safety Risk Register. Support the MOC Process to ensure risks are properly identified and managed for changes and PHAs and PSSRs are adequate.
Support the Bypass Override Risk Assessment (BORA) process as required.
Mentor others in process safety to understand, identify and reduce process safety risk.
Support the site in identifying and sustaining the management of key Process Safety Information (PSI).
Support the development of PSM software tools.
Perform Building Siting reviews to evaluate occupied and non-occupied buildings and support Building Siting program at site.

This role ensures that engineering is aligned with corporate goals and is complete, accurate and constructible for all elements of a project's scope.
The Project Engineer oversees contractor's engineering performance and coordinates all contractor and owner's engineering interfaces in addition to ensuring projects are completed according to project construction drawings and in accordance with project specifications, quality and performance requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating efforts of cross-functional teams and building effective relationships with key internal/external stakeholders, including contractors. The Project Engineer is required to work directly with the Project Manager and Project Controls Specialist to ensure process alignment and compliance.
**Responsibilities**

+ Identifies engineered safety controls and hazard removal during engineering design and coaches safe practices in the field.
+ Supports/Leads cross-functional team consisting of internal Subject Matter Experts, Owners Engineers, EPC Contractors and Technical Consultants from development of EPC contract through Permitting, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Closeout.
+ Ensures documentation of engineering and construction quality is adequately captured to support audit and prudency review.
+ Supports/Leads Owner team in writing official Records of Decision to capture prudency of major project decisions.
+ Acts as Contract Manager for various engineering and construction contracts outside of the EPC, including Owner's Engineer.
+ Performs/Manages the review of engineering design to assure compliance with the contract, permits, codes, and utility standards while ensuring design supports the strategic, operational and maintenance goals of the project.
+ Coordinates with the Project Manager in following the Project Delivery System and ensuring requirements are met and producing associated deliverables.
+ Participates in contractor/vendor selection process with a specific goal of assessing engineering experience, competencies and capability.
+ Supports/Leads technical open book engineering process with contractors during development of major projects and applies value engineering concepts to ensure projects are competitive.
+ Assists Contractor and Vendors during design and construction to resolve technical queries, and interfaces.
+ Assures that all firms solicited to provide engineering services are duly licensed in the state of the project.
+ Assures Project compliance with NERC and Security Standards.Ensures all documents generated on the project are stored in designated repository at closeout.
+ Supports/Leads/Follows change management process for any potential design changes.Participates in the equipment inspection activities as agreed with the Contractor.Supports/Leads Owner review and signoff of System Turnover packages from Construction to Start-up and from EPC to Owner.
+ Supports commissioning and ensures performance, reliability and emissions testing are completed per contract

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

**Key Role Responsibilities - Core**
_ME ENGINEER FAMILY - CORE_
+ Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
+ Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
+ Learns how to develop budgetary M/E estimates, based upon program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating system.
+ Assists in the review of mechanical and electrical options as part of the preconstruction process and completes systems analysis for select projects.
+ Learns to develop the mechanical and electrical scopes of work used to coordinate during the bid process.
+ Assists in the completion of bid analysis and provides input during the subcontractor selection process.
+ Assists in developing sequencing requirements of various systems and providing solutions to meet the schedule requirements.
+ Gains knowledge of design documents in order to identify potential quality problems to assist in developing constructability review reports.
+ Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met and work is completed in a quality and timely manner.
+ Learns and assists with the shop drawing/submittal process to comply with the contract documents.
+ Assists with the commissioning process including developing pre-functional checklists, functional testing procedures and actual functional testing.
+ Leads, supports and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn. Understands JE Dunn's policy of non-discrimination and ensures positive, proactive implementation throughout the organization.
**Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core**
In addition, this position will be responsible for the following:
+ Completes increasingly complex mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
+ Develops budgetary M/E estimates, based upon program and schematic design information.
+ Reviews mechanical and electrical options, completes systems analysis, recommends best system for the project and provides value engineering suggestions.
+ Coordinates the mechanical and electrical scopes of work during the bid process.
+ Develops sequencing requirements of various systems and provides solutions to meet the schedule requirements. Provides scheduling input during projects.
+ Reviews design documents and identifies potential quality problems. Helps develop quality control programs.
+ Performs job inspections at various times in the project to ensure specifications and expectations are met and work is completed in a quality manner.
+ Develops pre-functional checklists and functional testing procedures. Verifies contractor's performance of functional test.
+ Reviews and approves shop drawings prior to submitting to design team.
+ Generates and issues the Commissioning Plan for approval to the appropriate parties.
+ Verifies deficiencies are corrected and submits commissioning documentation to owners.
+ Provides mentoring to less experienced co-workers.
+ Creates M/E tools and innovative solutions to continuously improve processes and work products.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
+ Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
+ Communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate).
+ Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate).
+ Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.
+ Develops proficiency in basic JE Dunn construction M/E tools and software.
+ Knowledge of means and methods of construction management.
+ Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
**Education**
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
+ In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
**Experience**
+ 5+ years construction and/or engineering experience (Preferred).
**Working Environment**
+ Valid and unrestricted drivers license required

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Engineer - PIS. This position is based out of our Calcasieu Pass LNG 2 (CP2) facility located in Cameron, Louisiana.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates weekly review of schedule forecast and ensures timely completion of engineering activities for PIS to support PSSR
Primary site interface for all PIS engineering technical alignment
Signs off on area MOCs / HAZOP for engineering manager
Provides input to weekly site engineering report
PIS RFI Owner
Responsible for PIS punch list resolution
Manage missing/borrowed materials lists to ensure replacements are obtained and spares replenished
Validate check sheets and sign A and B ITRs as needed, working with the site coordinators
Review EPC engineering work packs for accuracy and content
Review installation / erection / pre-commissioning plans, documents, and requirements specific to areas. Includes review of installation manuals, communication of specific requirements, sequences, etc to coordinators
Inspect major arriving equipment and participate on walk downs
Maintain log of scope transferred to site and participate in interface meetings between EPC and OFE contractors
Assist with system turnover, review of MC'd systems, DFO tasks, PSSRs, etc.
Assist commissioning team with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities as needed. Participate in pre planning meetings and the related activities
Validate completions matrix tags and systemized boundaries in advance
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Professional accreditation such as a PMP or similar.
Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in Project Engineering/Management with at least 4 years in the LNG industry.
Expert Knowledge of project management systems and principles with extensive knowledge of working with Engineering and Management teams to set up tools for operational readiness, performance monitoring and reporting requirements.
