GENERAL FUNCTION
The Senior Process Engineering Manager is responsible for developing strategy and delivering recommendations on how to lower cost, while meeting all quality standards set forth by the company. The successful candidate will work side by side with Manufacturing Operations staff to identify inefficiencies in business processes and then determine the best ways to bring metrics in line with financial goals.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all technical operations related to plastic injection molding, including process optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Manages a team responsible for the development, qualification and successful implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment on the production floor.
Responsible for leading and implementing operational excellence and continuous improvement projects.
Creates strategy for the team and provides tactical guidance as needed to meet set budget
Coaches team on using Lean tools and Six Sigma problem solving methodologies to use data for solving complex problems.
Influences decisions by creating a positive working relationship with all extended team members including, but not limited to Maintenance, New Product Development, Tooling, R&D teams.
Thoroughly analyzes new product/process hand off and negotiates path forward when new products/processes don't meet requirements.
Manages/prioritizes multiple projects in a dynamic fast paced environment.
Creates 3-5 years vision for the team by working with cross functional leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
5+ years of management experience in plastic injection molding, moldmaking, and toolmaking.
RJG Master Molder certification or equivalent is a must.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
5+ years of experience managing Budget (CapEx, OpEx)
3+ Automation exposure/experience
