We are looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead the Coinbase Card team within the Consumer Product Group. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the Coinbase Card product from card management to transaction processing. This Coinbase Card allows crypto investors to earn crypto rewards through their daily spending and provide a seamless way to spend crypto currency globally.
What you'll be doing (ie. job duties):
Build and manage full-stack engineering teams, to guide the development of features, services, and infrastructure across both web and mobile.
Coach your direct reports to have a positive impact on the organization and support their career growth.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate our vision into a tangible roadmap on a quarterly basis. Break down complex projects into smaller pieces and lead the iterative design and implementation process.
Be a thoughtful technical voice within the team, aiding in diligent architectural decisions and fostering a culture of high-quality code and engineering processes. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery and operation of multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
Work closely with our talent organization to identify and recruit exceptional engineers who align with Coinbase's culture and contribute to our products.
Contribute to and take ownership of processes that drive engineering quality and meet our engineering SLAs.
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
At least 7 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 2 years of engineering management experience.
You have experience with Card products and built or worked on such a product at scale.
You possess a strong understanding of what constitutes high-quality code and effective software engineering processes, creating an environment that fosters these principles.

Job Summary
The Senior Manager of Electrical (Power) Engineering is responsible for establishing electrical and power standards, electrical and power quality management, strategic power planning, and development of capital improvement projects repairing and rehabilitating MBTA power and electrical infrastructure systemwide. Duties & Responsibilities
Liaise with all departments within Engineering & Maintenance such as Transit Facilities Maintenance, Power Division, Signal Division, and Maintenance of Way to assist with:
Coordinating asset end-of-life with capital renewals
Developing scopes of work and preliminary engineering for transition to the Capital Delivery, Design, and Construction Department
Developing electrical and power standards system-wide to ensure consistency across all disciplines within the MBTA.
Performing engineering and design reviews of work performed by consultants, contractors, and MBTA engineering staff.
Quality Management functions including conducting site inspections of systems and materials to verify quality.
Liaise with the Capital Delivery, Design, and Construction department to assist in performing:
Electrical and power associated design review
Quality Management functions of power and electrical construction.
Developing capital project scopes of work and preliminary engineering
Assist with engineering support as directed.
Develop electrical standards, power system standards, and engineering designs at various levels of completion ranging from preliminary or conceptual to final, specifications and standards for modifications to MBTA infrastructure.
Utilize established methods and procedures to ensure infrastructure designs are in conformance with MBTA requirements and standards.
Advise the Chief Engineer's Office of capital investment priorities from a power/electrical asset condition perspective.
Develop budgets and reports for proposed projects, evaluate various impacts of proposed projects to determine feasibility, provide recommendations to executive management and department managers, and participate on technical committees and panels.
Supports operational, facilities, real estate, and planning functions by examining and identifying deficiencies within existing electrical and power systems, preparing recommendations for improvements, providing technical advice and guidance, reviewing development projects that may impact existing rail systems and facilities, and participating in internal audits as needed.
Respond or report to work as directed by supervisory personnel for emergencies, extreme weather conditions, or any other abnormal conditions that impair service or the safety of service, twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Five (5) years of experience performing professional electrical engineering work in design, estimating, construction, and contract administration.
Two (2) years of experience at the supervisory level.
A combination of experience with high voltage AC and/or DC power distribution networks and their associated electrical control systems. Familiarity with control systems hardware and automated control and monitoring systems.
Working knowledge of CAD, Word, Excel, mainframe, or database applications. Proficient with the use of MS Office, PowerPoint, and Graphic applications.
Effectively communicate with customers, employees, vendors, contractors, designers, public legislators, and state and federal agencies.

What you'll do
