The Transportation Engineering Director is a highly responsible professional engineering position that leads teams of engineering, technical, field and office personnel, manages capital projects, and coordinates with various stakeholders to deliver effective and efficient transportation solutions. The department consists of approximately 75 employees and manages an annual operating budget of approximately $14 million and a five-year capital budget of approximately $547 million. This position reports directly to the Assistant County Administrator for the Public Infrastructure Branch. We are seeking a Director of Civil Engineering to lead our Civil Engineering Department based out of Jacksonville, FL (Relocation provided for out of area candidates). As the Director of Civil Engineering, you will be a senior leader, responsible for overseeing the strategic and technical direction of the firm's civil engineering practice as it relates to the Department of Defense projects. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) * Professional Engineer (P.E.)
