Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Lead and oversee a manufacturing engineering team of approximately six professionals. Plan, organize, and assign departmental workloads to maximize personnel efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to establish priorities and align departmental goals. Direct the selection, training, performance management, and development of department staff. Represent manufacturing engineering in product development initiatives and ensure manufacturability. Process Improvement & Lean Implementation Drive Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives across the facility. Implement world-class operational excellence capabilities and best practices. Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to reduce costs, improve throughput, and increase efficiency. Support problem-solving and performance improvement efforts across all operational levels. Engineering & Equipment Management Coordinate plant layout design, tooling, machinery, equipment upgrades, and process changes. Manage capital equipment acquisition, installation, and commissioning. Oversee tooling operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and safety compliance. Maintain preventive maintenance (PM) requirements, schedules, and execution performance. Maintain critical spare parts inventories and equipment specifications to ensure operational readiness. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with production, quality, safety, and inventory planning teams to ensure operational alignment. Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate vendors, equipment options, and process enhancements. Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and support production needs. Consult with engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and production leadership regarding improvements, tooling, materials, and process optimization. Budgeting & Compliance Prepare and manage the departmental budget. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies. Monitor plant downtime and implement corrective actions to maintain availability goals. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience. Experience managing direct reports (e.g., Production Managers) and a diverse workforce. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proven supervisory and leadership capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing / Toyota Production System (7-10 years required). SAP proficiency required. Experience working in high-mix, low-volume production environments. Flexible schedule and ability to support operations as needed. Preferred Qualifications Six Sigma certification (strong plus). Experience with ADP HRIS & payroll systems. Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels. Provides employee training and counseling. * Conducts performance evaluations of employees. * Oversees the development and implementation of the department's written standard operating procedures and administrative policies. * Participates in the development of the Five-Year Transportation Capital Improvement Plan (TCIP). * Implements and manages the TCIP. * Coordinates with external stakeholders including the Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization. the Florida Department of Transportation, the Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, local municipalities, developers, consultants, community organizations and various regional and national transportation partners to support the implementation of the County's long-range transportation plan. * Coordinates and communicates with internal teams including the County Attorney's Office, Development Services, Pasco Utilities and Public Works for the successful delivery of TCIP projects.Manages the design and execution of transportation projects to ensure adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements. * Supervises project managers and is engaged in the procurement and management of professional services agreements for roadway planning and design, contract documentation and computations. * Supervises the assembly of roadway design plans, signing and pavement marking plans, signalization plans, lighting plans, scopes of work, bid packages, design exceptions and variations, and utility work schedules. * Reviews contracts with engineering consultants and construction contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and budgets. * Reviews Engineer of Record probable cost estimates. Determines bid items and associated quantities. * Develops and updates project schedules. Ensures projects meet local, state and federal regulatory requirements. * Provides expert advice on transportation design, construction, maintenance, and operations. * Makes presentations to the Board of County Commissioners and represents the County at public meetings and workshops. * Prepares, presents, and maintains the department's operating and capital budgets. * Supports the County Attorney's Office with providing expert witness testimony. * Addresses inquiries from the County's elected officials and leaders, and the public regarding transportation capital projects and public infrastructure. * Performs other related duties as required.     Job Description Moorings Park is looking for a Director of Maintenance & Engineering. The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the direction of the overall operations of the Maintenance, Buildings and Grounds Department in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local requirements, ensuring the highest degree of safety, functionality, and comfort is maintained at all times. Contributions: Responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Department through strategic short-, intermediate-, and long-term planning for the maintenance of all facilities and grounds. Assists with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures to assure that the facilities, buildings and grounds are properly maintained at all times. Develops and maintains a good working relationship with all staff to assure that maintenance can be properly planned and maintained to meet the needs of the facilities. Directs and monitors work of department personnel to ensure compliance of directives and established procedures. Inspects the facilities, buildings and grounds to ensure that high standards of maintenance and repair are met. Ensures maintenance tasks are scheduled and properly documented and maintains accurate records for inspections and compliance of AHCA regulated maintenance and life safety functions related to the Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing environments. Interprets policies and procedures to department personnel as necessary. Completes necessary forms and reports as required by the Director of Facilities ensuring that the department's administrative procedures are followed. Requisitions, controls and maintains an adequate level of required supplies and keeps adequate financial records and cost reports for submission to the department director as required. Assists in recruiting, selecting, and training of competent personnel to ensure that department staffing is adequate. Assists in scheduling staff work hours and work assignments, ensuring that all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and timely. Disciplines staff as required, recommending termination when necessary to the department director. Submits all proper documentation in compliance with Moorings Park Procedure. Evaluates the job performance of staff within required time frame and recommends wage increases to Director of Facilities. Responsible for Maintenance & Engineering department operating budgets, monthly financial reports, and budget building. Responsible for capital projects to improve facilities and grounds, providing initiation, assistance, and support throughout the project lifecycle. Shows initiative with respect to increased competency levels. Works in compliance with all HIPAA regulations and standards. Job Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster. Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or construction engineering, building trades or related field is desired or a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Must have knowledge of local, state, federal regulations including Agency for Health Care Administration (or similar) regulations Knowledge of blueprints and specifications for installation. Expert level of knowledge in engineering systems, buildings, and ground maintenance.
