The Sr. Test Engineering Manager is responsible for providing optimum test solutions and strategies through the effective management of people, systems, procedures, and equipment.

Provide accurate quotations for new models from new customers and existing customers to ensure the company's continuous growth.
Manages the Test Engineering Department operating with a high level of efficiency and integrity.
Reviews and develops department structure, seating capacity, and forecast.
Manage operations, metrics, and assets.
Research develops and implements Workcell systems, support, and ISO/QS systems.
Compiles and documents the necessary information to analyze performance and make changes in the testing process.
Develops, motivates, and challenges Test Engineering employees, organizes workloads as needed, and ensures each employee is adequately challenged.
Ensure all test equipment is maintained to the best condition for minimum downtime.
Seek new test technologies for employees' development and customers' value added.
Set up a failure analysis group to track the cost-effective test reject inventory and reporting process-related failure.
Set up a test development group to increase company value and satisfy customers' needs.
Provide the cost reduction through automation and process simplification.
Provides meaningful and prompt feedback on employees' performance, including completing and conducting annual performance appraisals and developing training plans.
Hire, train, and manage test personnel to support the company's production ramp and new business start-ups.

How will you get here?
Possess an all-round, in-depth knowledge of test engineering in the rack/server L10, L11, and L12 testing in a manufacturing environment.
Strong Linux programming skills and solid knowledge of GPU/CPU systems and cloud platforms.

Transportation Engineering and Operations Manager

The position works in the Burlington Department of Transportation providing technical support in the operation and management of the City's traffic signal system and multimodal transportation network including, but not limited to, roadways, traffic signals, street signage, pavement markings, sidewalks, bikeways, greenways and multi-use facilities. The employee will coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies (NCDOT) and apply specific focus to traffic operations and safety, congestion mitigation and transportation operations.
As a BDOT Division Manager, this employee will provide leadership and direction to the Traffic System Supervisor that manages the Traffic Signals Maintenance staff and the Signs and Pavement Marking personnel. The City recently completed a system wide upgrade to the outdated computerized traffic signal system in partnership with NCDOT. The Transportation Engineering and Operations Manager will have direct contact with citizens, City Council and appointed boards, business leaders, and community leaders. This position requires a Professional Engineering License in the State of North Carolina because work responsibilities under this position directly affect the public safety and welfare of our citizens. Responsible for continually monitoring the transportation system and identifying transportation improvement needs to ensure the transportation projects are compatible with the development and vision of the City.
Ability to lead staff and complete major projects and participate in the department budget process is required. The employee will work with the public on sensitive issues requiring good judgment, firmness and tact. Work will be performed under the general supervision of the Director of Transportation and will represent the Department and Director as needed.

This position is Severe Weather Essential and Communicable Disease/Public Health Emergency Duty Mandatory, as such the employee in this position must report to work during periods of adverse weather, other university emergency and/or a public health emergency. The eight direct reports are multi-disciplinary group of persons who, in turn, are responsible for plants and steam system engineering, plant operations, campus steam distribution systems and maintenance, power plant mechanical maintenance, instrumentation and controls, warehouse operations and purchasing, and the administration office. Short term goals are established by this position to ensure a continued safe and reliable plant operations that supply of steam and generated electricity to the campus and the UNC Hospitals. This position develops the yearly budget to ensure that funds are available for the purchase of fuels, effective and proactive maintenance, and continued training of staff, and to ensure that environmental compliance is met, while also minimizing the impact on the rates charged to the customers. This position establishes and maintains very high operational and maintenance standards along with developing key performance indicators to drive efficiency and performance of the Co-generation systems operations. Long term goals are established by this position in concert with staff engineers and design consultants to determine the needs of Cogeneration Systems to meet the long-term objectives of the University. Master Utility planning, and life cycle cost analyst, utility rate structuring to establish the infrastructure needs and identify required projects. Duties:
Directly manage projects by agreeing on, setting, and achieving challenging success criteria. Develop and implement project execution strategies with a project team primarily consisting of third parties, including Syngenta staff, design and construction contractors, and equipment suppliers
Collaborate with project owners to define the project scope, often navigating significant ambiguity until a term of reference is established
Define, estimate, deliver, track, and report on safety, costs, and physical progress of individual capital projects
Prepare timely and comprehensive applications for engineering capital approvals and project completion reports
Ensure complete integration of commissioning and startup activities with the design and construction phases of projects
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, civil, construction, electrical or equivalent degree in project management)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required
10+ years of project management experience working in the construction of R&D, scientific, and commercial assets
Medium to large, complex project experience with brown/greenfield desired
Familiar with capital stage gates project process

The Engineering Supervisor position will oversee all engineering functions for Electric Distribution Systems ( EDS ) distributing electricity to Campus and UNC Hospitals. This includes the delivery and distribution of electricity from Duke Energy and Cogeneration Systems to four (4) substations on campus. (These substations support the electricity needs throughout the entire campus. Three of the substations are connected using an entirely new technology in high voltage switchgear, Gas Insulated Switchgear ( GIS ). This is special state-of-the-art switchgear technology - the first of its type on the Duke Energy system.) Additionally, this position is also responsible for the engineering functions in the installation, operation and maintenance of all roadways, parking lots and area lighting systems on campus (presently comprised of 3.319 lights). Example duties this position will supervise: The University owns and operates an electrical distribution system extending from the substations to each of the individual buildings served. This system is comprised of 988 electric and telecommunication manholes tied together through 43 miles of duct bank containing 79 miles of underground cable and 5 miles of overhead electric lines - operating at 12,470 volts. The electric energy is delivered using 59 high speed automated switches and 144 manual switches serving 418 transformers. Protective relays in substation breakers, high speed switches, and 338 power quality meters report to SCADA and metering servers over 60 miles of fiber optic cable via communications switches. Additionally, this individual has responsibility in the design, design review, construction monitoring, inspection and management of maintenance, repair, renovation, and new construction projects (including strategic planning for future projects). The incumbent in this position must have expertise in electric system modeling, Geographic Information System ( GIS ), EDS switching procedures, and working knowledge from the IBM Maximo system (work management system) to produce work orders, produce sketches and the ability to work with contractors/designers on the EDS system. The Engineering Supervisor position will supervise the Engineering Staff (3 Engineers, 1 Energy Utilities Specialist/Advanced (Engineering Technician) and 1 Engineering/Architecture/Advanced (Geographical Information System Specialist) and oversee the Engineering Intern/Co-op Programs between other area Universities and Colleges with engineering programs). Duties for this position are performed during normal work hours (Monday through Friday 7am-4pm or 8am - 5pm). This is a full-time permanent position. The position must respond to system problems any time outside of the normal work schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays. This is a critical position. This position is considered an Emergency Duty/Adverse Weather Position and must report during periods of adverse weather or other University emergency. This position is considered a Communicable Disease Primary On-site Mandatory and must report during a pandemic or other health emergency.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience
Candidate should a licensed professional Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience who can perform electrical distribution strategic planning and serve as the resident expert on the National Electrical Safety Code and the National Electrical Code. Additionally, candidate should have at least 3 years in formal supervision to include experience in a Performance Management Program. This position should have a broad knowledge base that includes protection relay coordination, illumination engineering, electrical controls, parallel generators, power quality, power factor correction, fiber communication, overhead electrical distribution, and underground electrical distribution. * Understand electrical distribution principles of the 12 kV or higher utility electrical systems. * Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings. * Ability to learn new concepts and innovate engineering applications in the electric power discipline. * Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. * Ability to mentor and coach staff, ensuring that all employees has sound engineering fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience
Preferably at least ten (10) years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power generation and/or electrical distribution within a utility, large industrial complex, or multi-disciplined research and medical care campus environment, such as UNC -Chapel Hill. Registered professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors. At least 3 years in formal supervision to include experience in a Performance Management Program.
