Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement and as a subject matter expert when consulted to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations
Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles
Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or nuclear) OR related science OR License Professional Engineer OR Active/Inactive SRO License with 5 years of engineering or related experience, which shall include 1 year of nuclear power plant experience
Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

PURPOSE:

The ability to evaluate/judge the performance of a system and in-depth experience working with manufacturing operations are also key requirements and will lead to varying levels of decision-making complexity. Day to day quality management could involve leading a root cause investigation, identifying nonconforming product, and coaching a QFS manager. This individual must be adept at translating qualitative and quantitative data into trends and key performance indicators (KPI's) to drive improvement actions. Sound reasoning and risk-based decision making are critical skills that also define this role. Additionally, this role requires external collaboration with suppliers for issue management and qualification support.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

b) Lead the measurement, analysis, and reporting of quality and food safety performance against internal standards, external customer expectations, and global KPIs. Drive accountability and proactive management through data-driven insights.

f) Oversee the governance and execution of all third-party food safety certification programs (e.g., GFSI, SQF), ensuring sites achieve and maintain necessary certifications to support business and regulatory compliance.
g) Act as the senior subject matter expert for food safety and quality, providing strategic consultation and guidance to cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial functions.
h) Inspire and drive the Global Quality Vision, serving as a champion for continuous improvement initiatives, innovation in quality practices, and the advancement of operational excellence across the manufacturing network.
i) Lead supplier onboarding and qualification initiatives in close collaboration with Procurement, R&D, and Regulatory Affairs, ensuring that all new and existing suppliers meet or exceed stringent food safety and quality standards.
j) Support supplier risk assessments, audits, and approval processes, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of risks that could impact manufacturing quality and compliance
k) Monitor and drive supplier performance through defined metrics, providing leadership in corrective actions, continuous improvement efforts, and supplier development initiatives.
l) Engage directly with suppliers to ensure comprehensive documentation, food safety certifications, and regulatory compliance are obtained, maintained, and continually improved.
m) Serve as a key escalation point for any supplier-related quality or food safety concerns, working cross-functionally to resolve issues rapidly and ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
70% Manufacturing Quality and Food Safety Oversight: Lead QFS management across North American 2 manufacturing sites, ensuring regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. An onsite presence at each manufacturing site (50/50) is required.

Job Summary
The ManagerEngineering Production - IMCS -Production is the front-line leader of ITS (Independent South) in all matters related to Safety, Quality, and Productivity. This position is responsible for overseeing an agreement and non-agreement workforce. This includes managing all aspects of the railroad production unit including coordination of manpower, development of schedules, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring work plans are executed efficiently and effectively, assisting in the procurement of equipment, materials, and supplies to support the operation, and ensuring safe work practices within the unit.
Essential Functions
Drive continuous improvement in safety performance through direct oversight of field activities, administration of effective efficiency testing, and taking a leadership role in the development of work plans. The successful candidate will lead by example in the safety arena and be a constant presence in the field where and whether work happens.
Provide technical expertise to ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant standard, specifications, and guidelines.
Direct, plan, and implement projects and long-term programs to maintain the infrastructure in a state-of-good repair. Establish the production goals for the unit to ensure completion of the planned scope of work on time and within budget.
Plan and monitor the daily/weekly work plans to ensure proper prioritization of work, efficient utilization of limited resources (track usage, force account, equipment, etc.) to ensure all aspects of the infrastructure meet or exceed current Amtrak standards and comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards, and ensure all projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Assist Production leadership in the development and continuous improvement of work methods and procedures that increase efficiency and drive improvement in the safety and reliability of the infrastructure and overall operation.

Summary

This is an exempt, full-time position. Standard hours are Monday-Friday, with an expectation of 40 hours per week. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for system updates, emergencies, or project deadlines.
Travel:
The employee will primarily be at the office with occasional travel to job sites and educational training.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support or IT leadership role.
Demonstrated experience managing networks, hardware, software systems, and cybersecurity practices.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience working in the construction industry or supporting construction technology solutions.
Experience with Viewpoint or similar ERP/construction management software.
Prior supervisory or team-lead experience.
Work Authorization/Clearances:
The employee must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and Motor Vehicle Record review. The employee must have a current driver's license.

SUMMMARY: The primary function of the Process Technical Manager is to be a technical expert of equipment and processes in the York Plant. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing procedures that increase reliability and efficiency. This person will report directly to the Plant Manager and act as a liaison between the Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering group.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Lead the Continuous Improvement Effort in the plant.
6's projects, and other lean manufacturing methodologies.
Act as subject matter expert (SME) for operations related tasks and functions.
Advise and implement manufacturing operations programs, from Mixing to packaging.
Train and develop mixing operators.
Fully involved in the successful implementation and sustainability of the OEE system.
Organize the Prims systems, with outside resources.
Create and implement systems and procedures, including the introduction of new software and upgrades to existing software.
Support Operations FAT testing for installation of new equipment
Support Engineering through new technology and upgrades.
Optimize manufacturing processes, including increasing output, decreasing costs, and improving efficiency.
Develop, implement, and manage process flow improvements.
Organize, lead, and execute process improvement projects with the Operations and Maintenance Departments.
Work directly with the engineering department during installation of new equipment to ensure a smooth commissioning and training process has been implemented and completed.
Work directly with the Quality Department to ensure that all food security, safety, and quality requirements are being followed.
Work directly with other cross functional department, such as Ingredient & Packaging buyers to ensure ingredients & packaging material meet company's specifications.
Perform Root Cause Analysis of issues in the Operations and Maintenance Departments.
Analyze production and maintenance data and be able to present in a meaningful way plant leadership.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience managing a process, program, or team within a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to mentor and coach other team members
Strong computer skills
Experience in 6S, Lean, Six Sigma required.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Process Technical Manager will be accountable to the Plant Manager.
EXPERIENCE:
5 years in a leadership role in an industrial environment.
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience in leading continuous improvement projects.
Experience in Project management, certifications preferred.
EDUCATION:
High School or equivalent as a minimum.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
