Senior Vice President of Engineering Practices This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsibilities Conducting and/or managing investigations, assessments, and expert witness assignments in order to prepare accurate technical reports and repair documents, and occasionally provide expert testimony Managing multiple assignments concurrently Delegating to, mentoring of, and directing other production staff for maximum productivity and profitability Developing repair design solutions for damaged and deteriorated structures Managing the billing process for assigned projects Meeting with existing and prospective clients to coordinate new project opportunities Preparing proposals, fee justifications, and contracts as needed in conjunction with the Team Leader and/or Group Leader Providing internal review of documents (reports, drawings, proposals, etc.) for other group members to ensure accurate, understandable, and consistent production of high-quality documents Physical Requirements Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs Ability/willingness to climb ladders and scaffolding, work from heights, walk roofs, access crawl spaces and other areas of limited accessibility Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or Architecture from an accredited engineering or architecture school; Other degrees will be considered based on relevant experience Registered Professional Engineer, NCARB Registered Architect, or similar industry licensure/certification 5+ years' experience AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is a plus Prior design and/or investigation experience preferred Proficient with MS Office applications Valid driver's license and reliable means of personal transportation to and from office location
