The Director will lead a multidisciplinary team that includes Antenna (Electrical) Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Qualification Test Engineers, Chemical Engineers, RF Technicians, and Document Control personnel. Update IP/DHCP/DNS settings Commission, test, and take responsibility for systems up to $150k (larger by Engineers) Conduct user training and create quick start documentation Work with Audio DSPs, Control Systems, Video processors, and other AV devices Follow signal flow and troubleshoot DSP and Video Processor programming Program simple DSP and Video processing systems. Test control systems and upload code revisions Perform system discovery. Troubleshoot networking and IP configuration issues. Plan and oversee rigging of objects up to 300 lbs Our goal for this specific person is to advance them to either an AV Project Management or Engineering role within 2-5 years, so you will be trained in the following areas if you don't already have previous experience: Design and Engineer Sound Systems and large scale AV systems Use sound system modeling / prediction tools and measure performance with Smaart Design projection systems, videowalls, and LED walls and perform final image calibration Design conferencing systems based on with Crestron / Extron / Biamp / QSYS / etc Provide calculations, sketch, and review shop drawings in Bluebeam Revu. Oversee CAD drafting. Calculate and document power requirements, HVAC and UPS requirements Manage a team on large and complex AV projects up to 24 months Read a Gantt chart to coordinate staff requirements and materials procurement Monitor critical path and provide milestones for dependent trades as required Maintain detailed client communication over email and answer RFIs Take responsibility for and meet milestones, deadlines, and profit margin goals ABOUT YOU You're looking for opportunity, because you're willing to work for it.
