Additional Responsibilities · Develop, strengthen, and expand the inside OSP engineering permit capabilities to provide flexibility and less reliance on outsourced vendor partners. · Performs skill assessment of permit specialists and recommends appropriate training and development. · Initiates and directs plans to motivate specialists to achieve goals and strives for maximum efficiency. · Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal permitting regulations, ensuring the organization is always in compliance. · Advise project teams on potential permitting challenges and provide solutions. Minimum Qualifications: · Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Management or equivalent experience preferred. · Minimum of 5 years of experience in OSP engineering, permitting or construction management. · Experience working with local, state, and federal permitting agencies. · Proven ability to manage and supervise a team in a fast-paced environment. · Strong knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory requirements for OSP projects. · Ability to communicate orally and in writing and give effective presentations to Managers and Directors. · Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. · Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. · Experience in GIS software (ArcGIS, 3GIS, Vetro Fiber, IQ Geo, or similar) is required. · Experience in AutoCAD is required. · Experience in PLA (Pole Loading Analysis) software is a plus. · Ability to occasionally visit job sites to review conditions and interact with teams. · Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
