Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations while acting as a resource and technical expert to engineers. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement and as a subject matter expert when consulted to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
Directly fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations
Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles
Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Position Summary:
The successful candidate is accountable for multiple internal engineering disciplines to achieve the results identified in the Advanced Atomization Technologies engineering strategy deployment goals. Leads a team of empowered employees (design engineers, manufacturing engineers, engineer techs, and interns) to continuously meet and exceed customer expectations. Acts as a coach and mentor to team members by providing essential feedback in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Department administration which includes performance evaluations, hiring of new employees, employee training and development, disciplinary action, budgeting, etc.
Review and approval of engineering output for accuracy and correctness. Outputs include engineering change requests, product configuration changes, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Establish and maintain procedures and documentation compliant with customer and regulatory agencies.
Prioritize and direct daily department activities to ensure effective and efficient completion of department objectives.
Lead technical work including preparation of design layouts, specifications, engineering investigations, calculations, failure analyses.
Initiation and continuous improvement of good engineering design, practices and procedures. This includes implementing redesign to improve manufacturing and to eliminate potential field problems.
Technical support for manufacturing, production designs, customers and marketing.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering field
Minimum of two (2) years of related engineering experience required
Requires at least five (5) years of experience as a Team Leader/Manager
Ability to use standard business applications software and/or specialized data analysis tools. May be required to develop skills in drafting, programming, and CAD or other computer aided manufacturing systems
Key Competencies:
Fundamental knowledge of lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques.
Strong practical knowledge of Six Sigma or other structured problem-solving methods.
General knowledge of aerospace industry or similar industry products and legal and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing plants.
General design skills to include fluid flow, heat transfer, and GD&T.

This individual will evaluate and determine the need for assistive/rehabilitation technology services to mitigate the impact of the individual's functional limitations, to enhance the capacity to participate in Vocational Rehabilitation services, and achieve the Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE) employment outcome.
The Assistive Technology Manager will provide instruction to an individual on how to use the assistive technology/rehabilitation technology device(s) or service(s). The intended outcome is that the individual, upon completion of the training, will be able to effectively utilize the device(s) or service(s) to achieve their employment goal.
Core Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day customer service including in office and outreach activities.
Establish and maintain a professional relationship with multiple outside agencies and service providers including local Early Intervention officials.
Responsible for completing evaluation and training reports.
Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, assistive technology evaluation and training services, and mailings.
Implement follow-up procedures and customer satisfaction surveys.
Ensure maintenance, cleaning and tracking of equipment; including obtaining supplies necessary for equipment maintenance.
Ensure safety of adaptive equipment prior to loaning.
Develop and implement quality and efficiency procedures.
Act as the primary contact person for volunteers within the program and coordinate marketing activities.
Conduct presentations to individuals, groups, students and professional organizations on assistive technology and TRAID services.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field.
Strong knowledge of a variety of assistive technology devices and delivery of rehabilitation technology services.
