Summary:
The FieldService Engineer (FSE) provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. This role instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system and serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. The FSE will interpret customers' needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers. This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking.

PRODUCT SUPPORT
· Provide installation, repair, upgrade, and maintenance support for TomoTherapy and CyberKnife systems located at assigned customer sites
· Promote customer satisfaction through the timely response to customer calls, clear and effective communications with internal and external customers, professional appearance, and efficient repair/maintenance activities

Work Location: The FieldService Engineer's home address is considered their “HELLER facility” for the purposes of the following procedures:
Travel hours will be paid from the employees' home to the worksite.
Mileage will be paid from the employees' home to the worksite.
HELLER will review applicants from any of the lower 48 states. However there has been a recent focus on locating candidates within the following areas:
Charlotte, NC
Houston/ San Antonio TX
Columbus, MS / Huntsville or Birmingham, AL
Western US - accessible to CA areas like Los Angeles (Reno, Las Vegas, etc.)
Typically prefer to see candidates located reasonably close to a major airport for travel reasons.
A real plus is if you can travel daily by car to PACCAR Columbus, MS., Caterpillar San Antonio, TX., and Cummins Rocky Mount, NC.

How You Will Make an Impact:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure overall service delivery meets / exceeds client expectations and contractual obligations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or higher in mechatronics, mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering, or equivalent.
8+ years of experience in SEM, FIB, LDB or in a related field.
Extensive experience in repairing high-tech systems and advanced problem solving skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Strong mentoring skills.
Ability to travel frequently.
Excellent communication skills in English

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position Sr Engineer, FieldService based in California is $49.58-$74.37.

Job Title: FieldService Technician
The CS Medical FieldService Technician, reporting directly to the CS Medical Service Manager, is a Service employee within the CS Medical Service Department based upon (including, but not specific to) applicable education, continuing education/industry professional certification(s), and years of experience within a technical service environment. The FieldService Technician acts as a point of contact for the Service Department's technical issues and service (repair) work related to applicable internal and external (customer-owned) equipment. These technical issues and service (repair) work occur, and are processed via telephonic, email, fax, remote-work location, and in person methods.
Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Performs installation and verification of external (customer-owned) equipment at medical entities (remote-work locations) within the United States.
Receives and resolves external customer generated telephonic, e-mail, fax and in-person technical and service (repair) issues/complaints related to external (customer-owned) equipment.
Creates Service documents, coordinates the inter-departmental use-of, and files accordingly in the Service Department's central repository.
Maintains accountability of and accurate inventories for CS Medical-Owned equipment and spare parts.
Assists in the attainment of a high level of customer feedback, complies with
quality standards, and executes Service plans.

Minimum Qualifications

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position.
Hours
The general hours shall be Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with an hour break for lunch. These hours will vary depending on phone coverage and travel schedule.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. Work is regularly performed in a combination of office, hospital operating room, central services, cleanroom, and warehouse environments.
Physical Demands

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Independently travels nationally and internationally as the primary technical representative to the customer.
Interacts with customers to diagnose and resolve extrusion & pelletizing equipment issues and failures.
Trains personnel on the operation and maintenance of Nordson BKG extrusion and pelletizing equipment.
Conducts follow-up calls with customers to assess equipment performance and customer satisfaction.
Completes service reports documenting actions performed, equipment failures, and corrective actions.
Collects and documents customer feedback for equipment performance to facilitate continuous improvement.
Provide feedback to Engineering and Sales on equipment performance.
Collaborates with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and after-market services to develop customer centric solutions.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
2 year technical degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 2 years maintenance level experience in process controls, plastics extrusion, or related field.
Required Skills and Abilities
Experienced in electrical and mechanical industrial plant applications.
Knowledge of hydraulic theory and application
Hands-on experience in process controls
Strong knowledge of PLC logic, PID's, control integration, AC/DC drives
Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics/prints.
Communicate effectively with customers (plant employees and management), sales and engineering depts.
Demonstrate analytical thinking.
Prioritize multiple tasks.
Work effectively with frequent interruptions
Knowledge of plastics processing (preferred)
Knowledge of rotating equipment (preferred)
