About the Role
We're hiring a SeniorFinancial Reporting Analyst for a newly created position with meaningful impact and clear room to grow. You'll lead property expense controls, own monthly reporting rhythms, and partner closely with operations to optimize costs and drive smarter decisions.
What You'll Do
Lead monthly property cost analysis; deliver variance reports vs. budget, prior year, and benchmarks (e.g., expense per square foot).
Identify drivers of cost variances; collaborate with Property Management and Operations to investigate and resolve issues.
Prepare and present financial and operational insights to leadership.
Build and standardize reporting tools/models that improve timeliness and accuracy.
Drive process improvements, including automation and AI‑enabled workflows for recurring financial reviews.
Support tenant screening by evaluating financials (balance sheets, income statements, limited tax returns) to assess creditworthiness.
Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting at property and corporate levels.
Operate as a self‑starter while partnering cross‑functionally as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field required.
3-4 years of hands‑on financial analysis experience, ideally in commercial real estate or property management.
3-4 years driving budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel proficiency (testing required prior to first interview). Comfort working in-and simplifying-large, complex workbooks (hundreds of tabs) and introducing automation.
Work Location & Schedule
100% onsite. Candidates should be within a reasonable commute (~45-50 minutes) of the office.

Job Responsibilities Strategic Planning, Leadership and Personnel Management
Provide leadership and mentorship to our small accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability, including managing two or more accounting staff (currently a generalist bookkeeper and an Accounts Payable Specialist, with additional growth expected).

Position Summary

Budget Planning & Administration (BPA) supports the campus by estimating and allocating the fiscal resources needed by divisions and programs working to achieve student success and implement imperatives. In collaboration with the University Budget Advisory Committee (UBAC), BPA facilities a transparent budget development process that considers and makes funding recommendations for the upcoming fiscal year. More specifically, the BPA team analyzes historical and anticipated expenditures, prepares various expense and funding scenarios, and documents budget decisions. BPA also allocates funds in alignment with the approved budget and as received by the Chancellor's Office, monitors expenses and fund balances throughout the year, and effectuates fund transfers as needed and requested by divisions.
