You will be actively involved with the planning and implementation of our leasing and leasehold acquisition efforts. You will work closely with our in-house Data Analyst and staff to ensure the success of Crestas acquisition program. This is an excellent opportunity to grow with a leading exploration and production company. This position is hybrid, with the onsite portion located in our Fort Worth, Texas office. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform regional geological risk and resource analyses across a variety of play types. Integrate geologic, geophysical, petrophysical, and production data to identify opportunities. Map and communicate resource potential through appropriate geologic products. Work closely with reservoir engineers to assess economics of prospects. Help to plan acquisitions and organic leasing for future development. Works well in a team environment but can also work independently with minimal supervision. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Power Point Experience in unconventional resource plays, with Midland and/or Appalachian Basin experience preferred. Proficiency in Mapping Software packages, such as Petra, Enverus Subsurface Studios, and/or SMT Kingdom Proficient with well logs and petrophysics Experienced in creating standard geological work products Must be a team player. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Masters degree with a 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. Position requires a 4-year degree in Geology or Geophysics YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Geologist required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in upstream Oil and Gas required. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 10% - 15% Travel will be required for mandatory meetings, training, and visits to field locations.
