Job Description
The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI), a statewide cybersecurity organization based at Virginia Tech in Arlington, Va., seeks a GraphicDesigner and Content Specialist with strong graphicdesign and social media experience to give CCI a cohesive visual look across platforms.
This role designs and maintains signature print and digital materials, social media accounts, and email marketing campaigns. The position reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing, CCI. This position is located at the Virginia Tech Research Center in Arlington, VA. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement within a commutable distance to Arlington to support a weekly three days in-office presence. Depending on business needs, travel may be necessary to support collaborative initiatives.
The GraphicDesigner and Content Specialist designs digital and print materials, such as infographics, program branding, brochures, print signage for special events, and templates for letterheads, forms, and slide presentations. This position will coordinate CCI's social media content and platforms, including content creation, comment moderation, and planning social media campaigns. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in GraphicDesign, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro).
Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to create visually engaging, presentation-ready content.
Demonstrated ability to create infographics, illustrations, animations, and visual assets that explain complex information clearly.
Experience with video graphics, motion design, and animated content for digital platforms and social media.
Knowledge of branding principles and experience applying and maintaining visual identity guidelines.
Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements and inclusive design best practices.

Experience managing creative or digital services teams
