Position Summary The Designer (All Categories) is responsible for creating compelling, market-relevant apparel designs across multiple product categories. This role requires a strong balance of creative vision, technical knowledge, and commercial awareness, supporting both private label clients and in-house brand collections. The Designer will collaborate closely with merchandising, product development, sourcing, and production teams to ensure designs are aligned with brand DNA, customer expectations, cost targets, and production capabilities. Key Responsibilities Design & Creative Development Design seasonal and ongoing apparel collections across multiple categories (e.g., tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear, denim, active, lounge, etc.) Develop original design concepts aligned with brand identity, customer profiles, and market trends Create detailed design packages including sketches, colorways, fabrications, trims, and construction details Interpret private label briefs and translate customer vision into commercial, production-ready designs Trend, Market & Brand Research Conduct trend research including color, fabric, silhouette, and graphic direction Analyze competitive brands, retail assortments, and consumer behavior across DTC and wholesale channels Apply trend insights in a way that supports brand positioning and price architecture Product Development & Collaboration Partner with Product Development and Technical Design to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards Work closely with Merchandising to build cohesive, balanced assortments Collaborate with Sourcing and Production teams to align on fabric availability, costing, and lead times Participate in fittings, revisions, and approvals through proto, sample, and production stages Private Label & Client Support Support multiple private label accounts with varying aesthetic, price points, and timelines Present design concepts, seasonal direction, and line sheets to internal teams and external clients Revise designs based on client feedback, cost targets, and production constraints Execution & Organization Maintain accurate design files, tech packs, and sample tracking Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables Qualifications Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field 3+ years of apparel design experience (private label and/or branded experience preferred) Experience designing across multiple apparel categories is a strong plus Skills & Knowledge Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and fit Knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes and production timelines Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools Ability to create clear, detailed tech packs Strong color sense and understanding of print, pattern, and graphics (as applicable) Soft Skills Highly organized with strong time-management skills Ability to balance creativity with commercial and cost considerations Strong communication and collaboration skills Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
