Evenflo Company, an industry leader in Child Passenger Safety, is looking for an industrial designer to work in their Canton, Ma. (Boston area) headquarters. The ideal candidate is self-driven, mechanically minded, aesthetically sensitive - and is passionate about designing meaningful, lifesaving products for tomorrow’s generation. They understand what makes a great user experience and have the critical thinking skills required to solve for the unmet needs of the caregiver by delivering innovative, well-thought out safety products.

General Responsibilities
Your daily activities will vary depending on the stages of your projects, but you will be spending your time…

• Ideating through communicative hand/digital sketching and rough mock-ups

• Using SolidWorks to build your ideas, leading to 3D printed or hand-built functional prototypes to validate your ideas

• Making stuff with your hands, breaking stuff, making it again, only better

• Making beautiful forms in CAD or by hand- whatever works for you.

• Communicating ideas/design specs and providing feedback to colleagues in the Midwest/Southeast U.S. and Asia using PowerPoint. Like everywhere else these days, lots of video conferencing, but when it’s safe to do so, in-person meetings are best. Must be willing to travel once things get back to normal.

• Delivering highly refined 3D CAD models and supporting documentation to engineering/manufacturing counterparts throughout the design phase

• Preparing concept digital renderings for focus groups and management presentations

• Installing car seats in lots of cars, repeatedly.

• Interacting with caregivers, medical professionals and toddlers

• Participating in/assessing consumer research/Marketing direction to identify opportunities for innovation in child safety and consumer convenience

• Increasing your knowledge and worth by participating in child safety programs, conventions, community car seat checks and completing safety education

Required Experience

5-10 years of design experience (juvenile products a plus); Industrial Design degree from an Accredited School

Required Technical, Core Competencies

• Excellent 3D CAD surfacing, modeling and rendering skills (SolidWorks required. CREO/Rhino/Alias experience is a plus, as is Keyshot or similar rendering program)

• Strong conceptual sketching skills

• Expertise in Photoshop/Sketch Book (or similar), Adobe Illustrator, Power Point.

• Keen sensitivity to form, proportion, color and detail

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic engineering principles,
• Thorough knowledge of injection molding- draft constraints, line of draw, fit and finish
• Able to work independently, as well as within a coordinated team environment

* Finds quick ways to validate ideas and choosing a course of action to meet your goals

• Can quickly get up to speed on the child safety marketplace and product trends

The Position. Join our global product team and work alongside some of the most talented industrial designers, engineers, and brand managers in the industry. The primary responsibility for this position is to execute the industrial and mechanical design of innovative LED lighting and consumer electronics products for the automotive and powersports industry. This position requires exceptional Solidworks CAD modeling and rendering skills, and a proven track record of developing successful consumer products from concept through production. The candidate will be responsible for creating the final production-ready CAD parts and assemblies where the materials and manufacturing techniques have been optimized for efficient and cost-effective mass production. A passion for automotive and powersports vehicles is strongly preferred as it requires a deep understating of market trends and consumer needs to deliver truly innovative products. This position reports to the Director of Product Development.

Work closely with the Director of Product Development to execute the industrial and mechanical design of key new product development initiatives

Create and present professional product concepts utilizing traditional sketching, Adobe design software, Solidworks CAD, and Solidworks Visualize rendering software

Use CAD software to design and engineer production ready parts and assemblies that meet the target cost and performance requirements

Specify and validate the appropriate materials and manufacturing techniques for efficient and cost effective mass production

Operate 3D scanning, 3D printing, CNC cutting, bending and other prototyping equipment to build and test product prototypes

Coordinate product quotations, product samples, assembly instructions, and product inspection reports with our network of global manufacturers
Analyze production costs and market research to propose competitive product pricing Manage and maintain a comprehensive schedule of projects to ensure that the product, sales, marketing and production teams are executing assignments on time Create professional product assets required for product launch including, renderings, data sheets, technical illustrations, and product instruction manuals. Create and maintain an organized file system of all product documentation including drawings, CAD models, installation photos, and assembly bills of materials
Skills & Qualifications:
10+ years of job experience in mechanical engineering or Industrial Design of consumer products (Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering preferred) Experience developing automotive products or consumer electronics required Proficiency in Solidworks CAD Software required Basic understanding of 12v automotive wiring required Strong verbal and visual communication skills required Experience managing other designers and engineers preferred Experience with 3D printing, 3D scanning, CNC, and general shop equipment preferred Knowledge of databases and spreadsheets, including Access and Excel, preferred Applicants must provide a portfolio of work to apply (Examples of proficiency in Solidworks required)

What You'll Do

Tax seniors identify complex tax issues and provide tax analyses for a variety of hedge fund clients and their affiliates. The right person should have a solid understanding of Subchapter K related to hedge fund structures, financial products and related tax adjustments, and aggregate allocations. trader vs. investor determination, and identifying necessary federal, international and state investor reporting. Tax seniors in our Hedge Fund Tax practice perform detail-level review of tax workpapers, allocations and tax returns, as well as perform research to advise on transactional and tax planning opportunities with the support of our robust Washington National Tax group. Tax seniors build relationships as they coordinate and communicate with the client contacts to gather information. They also train, mentor and supervise new and experienced-level staff and attend required Deloitte Tax LLP and sector-specific training.

Our US tax industry group is comprised of more than 1,400 partners, principals, and employees providing a spectrum of tax services to a broad range of Investment Management companies. Qualifications

Required:

+ 2+ years' experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field

+ One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing able to obtain:

+ Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA

+ If not CPA eligible:

+ Licensed attorney

+ Enrolled Agent

+ Demonstrated basic understanding of Subchapter K, financial products, wash sale and constructive sale rules, as well as familiarity with aggregate allocations

+ Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
