Job Summary
As a Senior Instructional Designer, you'll use learning and instructional theory to analyze learning needs and goals, create instructional content and develop a delivery system to meet those needs.

Responsibilities
Create and modify computer-based training (CBT) storyboards Create and modify unique and interactive CBTs, both collaboratively and independently Effectively incorporate client feedback into CBTs Assess and modify existing training programs to meet instructional design standards Conduct research and analyze data to determine training needs Design evaluation tools administered to participants and analyze training effectiveness Create custom code and interface elements for digital media projects Use discretion and independent judgement to evaluate complex requirements and provide instructional design recommendations and deliverables to support clients and the overall impact of training Lead in-person and/or web-based training by applying facilitation techniques, training, methodology development and evaluation Stay abreast of new and emerging instructional design and adult learning theories Take leadership and full ownership of tasks within the span of control Manage special projects as specified by leadership Serve as a point of accountability for SLAs for programs and/or projects as necessary Identify, adopt and support evolving digital media technologies Act as a peer mentor for fellow trainers that are developing in the craft

The Senior Instructional Designer role is a highly visible role within Eagle Lending, First Republic's fastest-growing business unit, which is focused on bringing the next generation of clients and employees to the bank. You will be joining the Learning & Development team in San Francisco, and in this role, you will scope, design, execute and maintain brand new learning paths and experiences for our rapidly growing team. You are the voice of the learner and will ensure their needs are at the forefront of every deliverable. The ideal candidate is creative, comfortable working in ambiguity and is a clear and confident communicate who is experienced collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders to achieve an exceptional outcome.

What you'll do as a SeniorInstructional Designer

- Lead projects through the design life cycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and launch, providing clear timelines through all phases of development and selecting appropriate measurement for successful implementation.
- Recommend strategic, innovative approaches for learning programs that support Bank's growth and values.
- Communicate with key partners, including subject matter experts, key leadership, and end users.
- Identify learning objectives, assess learners, performance outcomes, and evaluative strategies to deliver instruction including consulting with program owners and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and learning objectives.
- Develop instructional materials (eLearning, job aids, tutorials, digital interactives, user guides, audio and video materials, storyboards, knowledge checks, et.) that transform information into engaging instructional materials.
- Develop and implement innovative learning content using advanced adult learning theory and technologies from concept to implementation.
- Monitor training program efficacy by assessing new hire retention and learning progress.
- Passionate about delivering excellent service to our internal clients.

Qualifications

You could be a great fit if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in learning design, instructional design, or learning science,
- 4+ years of experience project managing and owning learning programs
- Experience designing and developing advanced eLearning using tools such as Captivate, Articulate, Adobe CS, or others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills; comfortable multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Job Demands:
- Must be willing to travel domestically, for a specific project or deadline
- Demonstrated expertise in the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Experience in Adobe Captivate or Articulate
